I have a mtx amp powering a 12 inch sub right now.

I also have this boss amp laying around. This is it's description I found online to try to help with the question

My question is - how would adding this boss amp into my car effect the audio? Could I somehow use it to replace the oem amp for (I'm assuming) 4 speakers in the car?

My current set up.

I know it's bad now but I just installed it a few days ago and haven't got around to making it look clean yet. Right now it's facing the front with the back seat down but I want the back seat to be up most of the time. Side question - Should I then face it to the rear?

I thought bass was non-directional, no? Meaning that it doesn't matter what direction the sub is facing.

facing it to the rear will give more bass supposedly because it bounces off the trunk. thats what i have done in all my setups. also theres not much point in amplifying stock speakers, it would just complicate things imo. stock speakers often are only rated like 50 watts max and thats being generous.

Thanks for the help. Maybe I'll keep the amp around and if I ever get new speakers I might use it.
It won't be hard to turn the sub around and I'll report back. I also see them facing the rear so I was just wondering. I read facing the rear provides deeper bass I think and facing front is more accurate or something. I can't find that post though now
