Revised OEM diverter valve questions

hey guys. need a new dv and going with the oem version. is this the best place to buy or can i get a better price than 99.34 shipped elsewhere? is this the newest one out? part # 06H-145-710-D

also, is there a good diy? i did one on my last b6 and it was pretty straight forward. i'm finding a few diy for forge dv on b7s.. but those include more parts than the oem replacement.

That's the correct part number.

I suggest you check out Europaparts.com for this part as I feel they have the best pricing.

As for DIY, its not complicated. You'd have to go under the car, and the DV is next to the turbo itself. Its self explanatory.

gotcha... that's what i figured. the forge diy had a bit more parts involved so i didn't know if this needed any of the extra accessories or not. i assumed it was just remove and replace since it's oem but wanted to make sure. i'll check out europaparts too.. thanks bud!

FYI for the OP. THe D revision is the latest and you definitely want it. It is a piston style rather than a gasket style (orwhatever the word is) so it wont tear like the older revisions did.

Also its far easier to swap out than on the b6. Not that the b6 is hard, but no OEM Death clamps (one time use clamps) to contend with, thank god.
