For the APR Flash.

Possibly some spacers for the stock 20"s

What should I look at VAG Com'ing?

Instead of buying a full exhaust for this car which is my DD...possible to just get an Xpipe to make the exhaust sound a little meaner?

ohhh and then a full detail using 22ple from AutoLuxe..

Ill update with my thoughts of the before and afters.

Where are you getting the detail done? Or are you doing it yourself? I'm in the Northern NJ area and I'm looking for a good detail. I usually just Zymol my cars as I don't drive much, but I've recently heard of the new sealants/coatings and I'm intrigued. Ever try or see the Opti-Coat stuff?

Yeah I have used the Opti Coat and tons of other products.

Alex from AutoLuxe will be doing the car. I will be taking pics throughout the process if you are interested in seeing the progress?

Sweet. Sure, I'd love to see. Is there any reason why you are not using the Opti-Coat? I mean, if the claims are accurate, it's a permanent coating.... I'm curious to her your opinion because I have no experience with that or 22PLE

I never really trust anything that is permanent.

I have been hearing amazing things about the 22ple.

My RS5 most likely will have the Wolf's Hard Body put on it.

I didn't like the "permanent" coating. Went with the 22ple myself. Came out real nice. Get the wheels coated too, the brake dust comes off much easier.

I had mine done through Signature Detailing in Randolph, NJ. Greg did a great job with the paint correction - took almost all the scratches out and didn't get agressive where he shouldn't. Now if only the winter weather would go away so the car could stay clean for a while.

Oh yeah - provide us with your feedback on the APR tuning after you get it done. And I am assuming you would recommend Eurotech...

That's funny... I just spoke with Greg and he mentioned your car. I have the same car and color :-) After speaking with Greg, I'm going with the 22PLE also for the paint and wheels (entire wheel). I'm giong to get the clear bra and tint done also at the same time by Lee Berbs who came highly recommended by Greg...

Now I just have to wait for my touch-up paint to come in to repair a few chips first :-(

mwar99, did you get a clear bra also?

Nice! Greg does a great job. He can correct the paint and then you will have corrected paint protected by the clear bra - get the XPEL Ultimate if you can, it is great.

I got the XPEL on the hood, full front, partial front quarter panel, mirror, wheel well right behind the wheels, rear quarter panel right behind the wheels and top of the rear bumper.

If I see Greg I could give him my touch up paint if you would like to use it. (EDIT: He is coming by tomorrow to give the S6 a bath so I could give him the touch up tomorrow and he could give it back to me when I see him again) They mixed the paint for me at a body shop when I got my clear bra installed to touch up behind the wheels and a chip on the hood.

What a generous offer on the touch-up paint, thank you so much. I'm going away for a week as of tomorrow, so if the dealer doesn't have it in when I get back, I might have to take you up on that offer!

I'm thinking of doing the Xpel as well and I was thinking of the same areas that you did. Did you peel off the OEM protection on the front quarters? There is a little strip behind the front wheels that extends onto the doors...

Oh, and did you 22PLE over the Xpel, or under it?

Edit: you know, I have been waiting for the touch up paint for 2 weeks - since I bought the car basically. I haven't been driving it much because I want to protect the paint first - and that's waiting on the touch-up paint!! If it isn't too much to ask, could you please give the paint to Greg that way I can schedule the work with him for next week when I return from vacation? If the dealer comes through, I will have him use my paint, if not, I can fall back on your generous offer. Would it be OK for Greg to hold onto it for a week or so?

No problem. I don't need it right now so no concerns here about the touch up paint (of course now that I say that something will probably happen [eek] ) The OEM protection was left on the front quarter panel and he butted the XPEL up against it.

Greg put the XPEL on the hood so it ended up underneath the XPEL on the hood. I had gotten a dent on the hood and the paintless dent removal guy didn't want to fix it with the film on it so I had to take it off. Greg corrrected the paint after the PDR guy fixed the dent - thankfully as he scratched the hood A LOT! He also put it over the film after reinstallation. I had originally done the film before having Greg correct the paint, not the best option, because I couldn't get the timing right - this was my only car and I wanted to protect the paint before it got too bad.

Just curious - where did you purchase your S6 from? I got mine from Audi of Newton.

Thank you so much, that is very generous again. I bought my car at Jack Daniels Audi in Paramus. I'm sorry but I don't know your name, and I would like to mention you to Greg properly. I am Jon by the way.

And to the original poster, I'm so sorry for hijacking this thread.

I'm Mike. No problem at all, I would never use all the paint in the jar and I didn't pay for it either. I just gave the paint to Greg, he has it. He helped me with a quick wash today and we found a nice chip in my A pillar - so you may want to add the XPEL to the A pillar as well...

Oh, I am still here. Sold the S6 and RS5. A lucky forum member took the S6 off my hands.

The APR tune is a must have for that car. AMAZING. I miss that car more than the RS5.

I picked up another R8 Spyder. [evilmad]

Jay,

Thanks. I can't believe how fast you go through cars. I don't think I have seen someone go through 8 cars in 2.5 years. Wow!
