Well my time to buy is coming at the end of this week. I work in the aftermarket automotive biz and our yearly big show is coming up where we get pretty good deals. Thinking of doing sway bars and possable coilovers. Or springs and struts. I am between the hotchkis sway bars set or the nuespeed rear only.
For suspension i was thinking h&r cup kit r kw variant 1 coilovers. What do you guys think. I am open to suggestions. It is a daily driver in New Jersey so potholes are everywhere. And roads are not the best but i need my non sline to handle a bit better for my taste.

Search the forums! You will find plenty of forums to get an idea on which coilovers to use. Search b7 a4 coilovers up above

Let me Guess you see that i am new here and right away you post search the forums, Really had no idea how to search a forum. Been there done that. Thats why i put open to suggestions. It is apparent I do this for a living. As in work in the aftermaket scene. I know what is out there. Just seeing of some people had a bad experaince or went another way and was happier. Or had comments on what i am thinking of doing.
Well lets see there are about 5 coilover companys i would even use. Lets see research i have done alot. Wanting to get other peoples opinion. H&r , bilstein, kw , st, The list goes on.

North jersey roads bloooooooooowwwwww. Are you talking about the trade show at the meadowlands?
Do you ever plan on adjusting your ride height or shock dampening?
If the answer is no, then look into using koni fsd or bilstein sport shocks paired with eibach or h&r springs. Neuspeed also makes springs, I find them to be a rougher ride though.
If you plan on adjusting your ride height or "slamming" you car then go with coilovers. For the most part you get what you pay for with them. KW v1's are a good coilover, ST coilovers are the same as KW v1 but they are zinc coated instead of polished stainless steel. In the long run, the coating on the KW's will fair better through NJ winters. Bilstein and Koni also make a good coilover.

ST's if your on a budget.
I have ST's installed on my car. The car looks so much better now. However, the ride quality on ST's sucks IMHO, as it's super bouncy. It's almost embarrassing to have to explain to the passenger why it bounces so much when they ask me about it. [=(]

That's why you read the whole forum! I hear stasis SS and vogtland have a good ride! My buddy runs pss9's and loves them. Roads aren't to great up here in mass either.

034 is currently running a group buy on their RSB which is fantastic and I can say so from personal experience. Transforms the ride. I run it on the stiffest setting which is snappy in turns but not harsh on overall ride.
If you are going for show and don't care for performance (tracking etc) get some STs - they have a great rep here and equivalent to KW V1 and you can dial in your ride height to your liking
If you want performance most, get ready to pay for it (Bilstein, Ohlins, KW v2 or 3 etc)
Overall, some STs and the 034 RSB you will have a much better handling A4 over your current stock 4x4 suspension.

The show is in atlantic city. Hosted by Keystone. Money matters ofcourse but i am not on a budget so to say. I think i ruled out the st from some reading already. But alot of people like them. The bilsteins are an option but damn you pay for the name. I will change ride height here and there. But i know from when i had my corrado. Once you find that sweet spot you leave it. Leaning toward the h&r coilovers as ihave always loved there ride from springs i have owned. Depending on howlow they are going on the kw v2 they ae my other option v1,s are cheap also.

I take it you haven't been in a very "bouncy" car... I have ST's on my car and they are pretty stiff considering they have progressive springs..
When I had them first installed it was installed at max height, and I can agree it was very bouncy, the front felt like it was a bobble head nodding back and forth over every little bump, however as I lowered it slowly, it got stiffer and stiffer. It's a pretty basic idea, the less the spring is compressed, the stiffer it will feel. I'm sure if I slam it, I will likely hit bump stops and that will make it "bounce" again, but I don't plan on ever going that low...

i remember i had stock shocks with hr race springs in my corrado that was bouncy. Was like does it ever stop moving. There is a big difference between bouncy and stiff.
