Got tagged by an SUV that left a stop sign too soon as I was turning left through an intersection (I didn't have a stop sign). The first pic doesn't look that bad - but the 2nd and 3rd pics shows how the camber got screwed up (I am FWD so was able to limp the three blocks back to my house but had it towed from there). At least the other driver admitted full fault to the officer who took the report.
Any guesses on how much it will actually be to fix? I should know on Monday or Tuesday after they are able to tear it apart and see how extensive the damage is....

It actually dosent look all that bad the wheel looks like its i reasonably the rite spot and it looks like the door looks like it lignes up. Can you get in to the door or the trunk?

The door opens without issue - didn't try the trunk (I did notice that the taillight on that side isn't working anymore). My biggest concern was the wheel - if you stand behind it you can see that it is angled in at the top (point of impact).
Maybe I should just order a case of bondo and be done with it... [:)]

That's also part of the unibody. Not cheap to fix any, IMO, almost never right again. Update when you hear back from an adjuster.

Wow looks odd how your wheel is sticking out and the body is all crumpled in around it.

Man, you must have the "stance" crowd around here real jealous with the poke and camber you've got going on. [>_<]
Unfortunately, I think there's going to be more damage than you think under there. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Hi mate, I'm new to the forum but I work in the trade as a paint sprayer. From the pictures, a new rear quarter is a definite, repair to the nsr door (damage near the sline badge) a new rear bumper and more than likely a new rear axle or hub. Plus 4 wheel alignment. I would say around £2500 with labour at an audi approved repairer. :/

I'm going to say about $6,000-$7,000 if I had to guess. That sucks. I hope you have a smooth repair process, unlike my rear ds quarter panel repair.

My guess would be in the $9-11k range

$4,500 is my guess. No way $9k. Maybe with a rear door $6,000.

I'm with you on that 1, not sure what the dollar to pound ratio is, but I know it won't be getting written off with a $9k repair. Rear screen out, door off, boot lid off, rear bumper off, new rear quarter panel fitting, the rest is fairly minor with a touch of mechanical, no problem for the rite man!

RD door, wheel, unibody damage, who knows how much mechanical damage, rear bumper cover, PAINT, and I think you said a taillight is non functional, you won't get any descent work done for less than $7-8k, and that's if it wasn't tweaked. If there is ANY structural damage, $9k easy.

Winner winner chicken dinner LoKisSpYdR - just got the estimate back and it came in at $7,900 (including the $200 they want to REBADGE my car)...

I doubt there's frame damage. What it looks like to me is the spindle or rear control arm was bent in. Definitely not 9-10k as some said, but replacing the rear quarter panel involves A LOT of paint work, each panel touching the quarter panel (there are a lot) need to be blended to color match. Also the bumper would need to be blended to the adjacent panels. I don't think cost of parts will be that much. but the paint work will be quite expensive.
At $8k worth of damage, I'm surprised they didn't total it out. kbb.com has your car only worth around $12k...

Wow that's a crazy price, I got some red neck dirt track racer collision shop to do the one on my jetta for ~$900 cash. He did an amazing job for the cost.

I was surprised at the amount as well. In addition to the remove & inspect components, body work & paint, they are replacing:
1. Rear Bumper
2. Left Rear Suspension (knuckle, lateral arm, upper control arm, hub & bearing)
3. Left Wheel and Tire (S-Line wheel & Blizzak tire)
4. Left Quarter Panel & Wheelhouse Liner
5. Left Door Shell
