USP Motorsports presents | Audi 3.0T/3.2L Intake System w/ Heat Shield

USP is happy to announce its production of a new intake system for the Audi 3.0T and 3.2 Audi Q5!

As part of this announcement we would like to offer special pricing - please enjoy a special pricing of $386.10!!!

After a lengthy R&D process USP Motorsports is pleased to announce our complete Intake System with heat shield for the Audi B8 platform. Our system is constructed completely out of aluminum. Don’t be fooled by other intakes on the market which are constructed out of mild steel. Aluminum is not only lighter than mild steel but offers superior heat dissipation which results in a cooler intake air temperature.

The factory intake system runs a 3" diameter pipe. The USP Motorsports system features a 3" to 3.5" to 4" piping design which is proven to increase air flow through a venturi effect.*Air enters through the 4” diameter filter and increases exponentially in velocity as the piping transitions from 4” to 3.5” and finally to 3”, entering the throttle body. The system also includes an aluminum heat shield to protect intake air from engine bay heat. As a result your engine receives lower intake air temperatures.

Product Features:

All aluminum construction
4" Filter - 4" to 3 1/2" to 3" pipe for maximum air flow
Heat Shield to protect intake air from engine heat
Factory piping only reaches a maximum of 3"
Powder Coated texturized black for an OEM look
Made in the USA
Limited Lifetime Warranty (excluding filter)

Applications:

Audi B8/B8.5 S4 3.0T
Audi B8/B8.5 S5 3.0T
Audi B8/B8.5 Q5 3.0T
Audi B8/B8.5 A4 3.2L

I will also be updating the first post for future visitors.

Phil, the dyno above, was it from a tuned 3.0T? Wondering what difference that intake would make on a "de-tuned" version of the 3.0T engine, like what's in my Q5....???

You would be looking at 7-12 horsepower increase with just a stock 3.0T motor.

Thank you for the reply.

- how difficult is it to install this kit?
- I have the AWE non resonated exhaust (+7-10hp) and will soon have the ATM ECU chip (+25hp). Will the hp increase be bigger for me then?

The intake is pretty straight forward, as far as an install.

With those supporting modifications you would look to make closer to + or - 13-15hp.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and or if you need help with the order.

Thanks for the reply.
When you say "straight forward", do you mean it's a one man job, and you don't need no special equipment etc.
Does a full instruction follow?

I may place an order on this.

Defiantly a one man job. Just regular house tools with some sockets are needed.

We are in the middle of doing a DIY video for the install.

Thanks,

Phil, I called your shop 1.5 weeks ago. Asked the guy that answered the phone if I could schedule an install, since I was going to be in south Florida the next day (3-8-13). Mike was out for some reason, so the guy asked for my name and number, but I never did receive a call back.
I was ready to purchase and I was down for the day, seeing my sister.

Scott,

I am sorry that you were not reached out to. We were out for a conference and we left a skeleton crew at the shop running things.

The message was not passed on to me - I like to reply to all my PMs and emails within 24 hours.

If you are going to be in town again please let me know and I will make sure you are taken care of. If you would like to order the part and install it locally I would be more than happy to help as well.

thanks,
Phil

Yeah, I was driving and decided to call instead, because your number is saved in my phone. No big deal, was just surprised I guess.

Guys, I have this kit lying in my garage now, ready for install. Don't wanna take it to a shop, but I wanna do it myself. There is no instruction with this kit, so I'm waiting for one, or a DIY video, cause I wanna do it myself. So, if any of you guys gonna do it yourself, and know how to do, please document it! Thanks

Just installed this intake on my 2013 Q5 3.0T and it sounds great and already noticed an increase in power as well as better gas mileage. The people there are easy to work with and will answer any of your questions quickly. Look forward to having a lot more tuning experiences with USP in the future.
