After installing my third clutch I realized that I needed to sell off the car. Audizine helped me a lot and I just wanted to thank everyone on the board for all your help.
I will probably replace the s4 with a brz sti in the future if it comes with a turbo. Hopefully everyone learned from my past experiences so nobody else will make the same mistakes I did.
Cheers

what was the reason for needing to install a clutch three times?

I've also been thinking of selling. I've been casually taking offers.

I too would like to know what your 'past experiences' were, maybe a brief overview?

**Cliff notes
-034 hfcs had really bad 02 spacers, stratjohn aka now rocjohn has a much better replacement for them, hes the man btw
-kw v2 coilovers need spring spacers for the rear since the springs for the rear were short, kw products are now trash for newer cars.
-replace brake pads early since stock pads are absolute crap
-the clutchmasters fx kit is to generic and is built for all cars, not specifically the b8 s4. they rushed there kit without making specific parts for the car. it took my mechanic close to 8 hours to install the kit compared to the dxd kit which took 5.5.
-apr stg 1 will destroy a clutch so if you want your stock clutch to launch...dont launch and dont drop a gear and gun it if you want your clutch to last
-this is the part i will get heat for...nobody can launch the b8 s4 6mt to its optimal performance. the proof is in the top 10 quarter mile list...there are no manuals ...check out the 60ft...nobody is faster then 1.8....
if you can do it, please prove me wrong but my conclusion that the car has some safteys built into it to slow the car down a lil when launching.
-aluz kruz is the best suspension mod and it is a must
*cheers guys, have fun modding and enjoy the sleeper

This one concerns me. As soon as stasis comes out with the flash I intend to get it, but not if it means a new clutch.

gotta pay to play.
this car motor produces a wonderful amount of torque which is the "clutch destroyer"
a warranty wont replace your clutch since its a wear and tear item
good luck and hopefully this info saves you thousands of dollars :)

I think your a right for tunes anyway. You can launch a stock B8 S4 pretty easily, but i've read numerous people have issues when they are tuned. I've personally never tried with a tuned car, but I imagine it would be pretty difficult.

I've launched my 6MT numerous times with stock clutch and I've had no issues. I've glazed the clutch several times trying to get a good launch too. Still working fine.
What is your experience with DXD????

I'm thinking that we will see a solution to handle all of the Torque by the summer.....

Stage II V2, stock clutch, 55 thousand miles... no issues to report. Prior to installing my pulley, however, I did have my clutch throw out bearing replaced as well as my pressure plate, both under warranty - I had an opportunity to inspect my clutch when this happened (after 25K of hard driving on APR's Stage 1) the clutch was in great shape and had tons of life left... I am sorry to hear that not everyone was as fortunate.
