Hey guys! I'm pretty excited, gave a deposit and signed the papers today for a lightly used (20000 km CPO) 2012 phantom black s4. I don't get it until monday as they are giving it it's final inspection as well as putting on my winter tires, tint and 3m film.
I look forward to joining and contributing to your community!
Cheers

No kidding waiting is hard, I probably won't sleep tonight or tomorrow night! I'll get some pics up as well. It'll have the 18" winter tires on though... can't wait to throw the 19's on in the summer!

One more sleep!
Can anyone recommend some sort of "top ten things" you should know about a B8 S4? Maybe a best of thread or some sort?

Congrats and make sure you check out our local Calgary Audi meet every second Thursday at the OJ's in Quarry Park. There's a thread on here, just search for Calgary. See my sig for mods I recomend them all.

Picked it up yesterday and proceeded to drive to my camp job 7 hours north of Calgary in a mix of sleet, rain, snow and ice (temp ranged from 5 to -7 C for the trip).
First impressions:
-My god is this thing fast! Came from a 1.9L TDI (100 HP lol). My gas bill is going to skyrocket, but it is so worth it!
-Surprisingly comfortable in comfort mode - My parents have an A4 without adaptive suspension. My S4 in comfort mode is a much smoother ride.
-I was also surprised at how easily I could tell the differences between dynamic and comfort mode. I thought it would take a while of learning the car but I could instantly feel a difference in suspension and steering.

You should take a closer look at your 3M film...Royal Oak did a horrible job on mine. I am planning to go back in the spring to get them to re-do it. edges are peeling off and some of the pieces were not centred properly.

I will thanks. I haven't had anytime yet to check on it.
Do you know if the S4 has a block heater or anything of the sort that you can plug in? I wondering how hard it will be to start it when it dips down to -40.

Congratulations on the new S4. How did you manage in terms of negotiating on a used car with Glenmore? Did they move a fair bit on their asking price?

Not very good lol. I was the perfect customer - a motivated one. I actually signed for the car the first day I went in. I needed a car right away so I didn't have time to play games to get a lower price.

Doesn't come with a block heater. However you can buy that or an oil pan heater (I think its like $500 installed at the dealer). I actually was away in December for 10 days during that cold snap prior to boxing day. I had no issue starting my car when I got back to Cgy, but it was parked in the garage.

hmm i might look into it. When I'm at camp my car is outside for 9 days straight without being started.
