On saturday my car overheated in the morning. I took it home checked out the coolant it was a little low so i decide ill just do a flush while im at it. I refilled it with g12 coolant. Turned it on put heater on hi temp low fan. After it warmed up took it for a drive it still overheated. I let it cool down and topped off as needed. Took it for another spin. It went over regular temp but didnt pass that line. Also the fans run really loud after it goes over regular temp. What can it be? Sensor, thermostat, waterpump? Heater still blows hot air

I would replace the thermostat. Might be stuck in the closed position not allowing coolant to flow trough the radiator.

Thermostat is probably bad. I would try that first.

The thermostat is a bit of a job on the 2.0T's....at least compared to my previous vehicles. There are folk out there (bman, drakelore, etc...) that can probably knock this baby out in an hour. But it takes me that long to jack her up, drop the belly pan and drain the coolant. Then you need to get the alternator out of the way and all the other connections removed. I'd budget 2 to 3 hours.
Refer to phil's tb diy...it has all the info you need.
