Alright, so I ive been hearing this noise since I got my timing belt done, which was last february, about 15k ago. I already tried to capture it on film plenty of times but it just wont pick it up, its just too faint. I kindof just forgot about it until recently its gotten a little worse. Its hard to explain but it sounds like a rattle or something being loose. I can only hear it from when it kicks in at about 2,500rpm to about 3,500rpm and then the engine noise drowns it. Like I said it said it sounds like somethings loose. Defiantly coming from the engine bay, not any of the wheels or wheel bearings or anything like that. Any ideas on what this could be?
Also I was driving for a pretty good amount of time today and she started misfiring... I pulled over and shut her off and restarted and it was gone. Got me nervous but ill post back up if it happens again. Havent had a mis since before my timing belt job and the guy who did it said the vcg was leaking some oil into one of the cylinders pretty bad, clearly causing that miss so hopefully we dont have a problem hear. I may take some time to pull the plugs tomorrow and have a look. Well see.
