Wheel refinish tips? Does vs. dont do?

Ok, so I picked up a set of the stock B7 wheels that I'm going to refinish w bondo, new spray paint (gunmetal I think) and clearcoat. I'm looking for tips in addition to the sanding, prep, etc. They're just going to be going on snow tires so my regular rims don't get beat to shit up inthe mtns. I'm wondering....should I spray the insides as well or just leave them stock silver? I was thinking really clean then up, sand em, then spray the insides from the inside of the wheel....not sure if its necessary or how much will really be visible from the outside? Also is a self etching primer necessary for a quality result or just a good sanding job of the original paint?

my M310's came with a black barrel and it's kind of nice because you can't notice the dirt and it adds contrast to the silver face to make it stand out.

If you have access to someone who can sandblast them for you, it will save a ton of time in prep and is usually fairly cheap.

BUeno! Thanks for that--looks like sand, clean, bondo, sand, clean, tack rag, paint then clear coat.

Also, looks like the 2 part Spraymax 2K urethane is the way to go for a really durable finish.
