Hey Fellas,

I'm a new Audi owner, and I want to clean up the front of the car with either a filler plate like this one http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4-FWD-2.0T/Search/Filler/ES4695/ (to cover up what I'm assuming is the clip on hole and area for a euro plate mounting bracket of some sort) or with an actual custom europlate, haven't quite decided yet but i'm leaning more towards a filler plate. Below is an image of the front my car le so that you know what i mean, and an image of the grille alone I found online. My question is, seeing the different filler plate options on a site like ECS, would I have to remove the entire grill from the car just to remove the portion where the filler plate would go ( I have noticed that the filler plates sold at ECS somehow clip on to the grill, Am I Correct?) Is that section even removeable in my case, in other words, would I have to replace the entire grill to get rid of the euro plate mounting?

By the way, my B7 is simply a 2.0 A4, and is a European version of the vehicle, seeing as I haven't seen any US models with the Europlate space where the filler plate would go as in mine. I currently live offshore in the carribbean (Though I'm from south FL)
, and purchased the vehicle here, therefore the reason I suspect my A4 is a Euro version.

Thanks for your help in advance. I've searched throughout the forums for the answers to my questions but haven't found them.

Any other ideas or suggestions are welcome!!

the filler plates are easily removed/installed with 4 screws. no need to remove the grill.
Two of the screws are obvious, and the other two are under the bottom of the plate

On non S-line like OP's there 6 screws. but yeah it's pretty basic remove and replace.

I got both of my filler plate from ECS for like $70... I think they look much cleaner than plates IMO.

x2 for install, takes literally 1 minute.

So after thorough examination, I found out that that the Front Euro Plate Bracket portion is NOT removable. It is part of the grille assembly. There are no screws or clips or tabs holding it in place.

All I want is to get rid of the Ugly empty space, and i don't feel like dishing a whole lot of $$$$ for another grille just to get rid of it [headbang]. Anyone have any ideas? Even getting somekind of a label that can cover it up that says Audi A4 like this will suffice. Anyone know where I can get something like that? http://photos.carsguide.com.au/car/0138/6408/2012_audi_a4_used_1386408_1_m.jpg

And my apologies for abandoning the thread as I did, I was hospitizalized for 2 weeks. But thanks very much for all of the help!

are you positive that it cant be removed? Im pretty if thats the stock grille then it can, in fact, be removed.

also, how ironic is this:

The advertisement banner at the bottom of this thread is exactly what youre looking for haha

I'm fairly certain it is part of the grille assembly. I inspected all around the euro plate provision area, and it is attached to the plastic grille slots. It is all one piece.

Here is the grille: http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4-FWD-2.0T/Search/Grille/ES6977/ If you look at the back of the grille you can see that it looks like its all one piece.

This grille assembly came stock for my A4.

I am aware of custom europlates and know of tons of places to get them, but would rather have and was refferring to the Audi A4 silver label on the front of the white audi grille(under the audi rings). I would rather have that. That is what I am really looking for now that I cant use a filler plate.

That whole setup looks different then what we here in the states have! there seems to be no screws holding it on. Have you tried pulling on it? maybe it is held in by some tabs..
