Hi Everyone ,

I have a 06 A4 B7 with a RNS-E installed that came from a B6 I believe 2005, just recently today while driving the unit began turning off and then turning back on by itself. At one point I rolled the window down walked away from the car came back to find the radio off and the window not responding while the car was running. I then had to turn the car off then turn it back on to turn the radio on as well as have the window respond and roll up.

Recently I did change my battery and have a cheaper autozone battery in the car a buddy of mine said that it could be the battery causing this. Anyone else have any ideas on what could cause this?

Found a link on youtube that displays my same problem.

The solution is in the comments section of the youtube video you linked to, isn't it?

Sounds like a voltage issue. Maybe check the stats of the battery and make sure it is the same as oem. Also maybe check that the coding and wiring is correct

I wasn't too sure based off the comments on the YouTube video I found no other write ups or forum threads on it. I'm gonna pick up a dealer battery tomorrow and hope that works

I changed the battery out to an OEM one today and still no luck I additionally noticed that my doors aren't locking using my key fob (batteries are good ) also my turning signal / lights are not working either. The only way they begin to work again is turning the car off and starting it again.

Havent had a chance to check the codes yet...

Read the comments in the youtube video you posted, it says they isolated the problem to a faulty ignition switch.
