I have a 2005 A4 3.0Q, with the Bose Symphony II 6-disc, in-dash changer w/Bose. I recently installed the USA Spec Audi iPod Integration kit and the sound quality is great; However, the subwoofer is not engaging. When I play the FM Radio, or my iPod via the cassette adapter the sub sounds fine. I purchased the device from Crutchfield, and their Tech Support suggests the XM Satellite receiver may be the culprit; I'm told the receiver is in the trunk, on the driver's side behind the trim (and the dummy cut-out for the external CD changer).
I don't have a Bently service manual, so I'd like any input on how to properly remove/reinstall the trim panel to access the receiver. Thanks in advance.
Peace,

That's impossible... Did you try audio through the aux? Sounds like the USA spec may have a low audio output... The Sub is just jumped in with the rear speakers... Also check the bit rate of your songs. If they are recorded in a low bit rate then the sub may not kick...

Thanks for the reply Christian. You say that's impossible; to what exactly were you referring? I'll also look at the the bitrate of my songs. I look forward to your reply.

If you unplugged the 20 pin connector from the back of the radio and plugged in the USA spec using the provided splitter then you have bypassed the satellite it is no longer in the system.

Thanks again for the reply. I'll let you know what I find once I physically disconnect the receiver from the system.
