Local Audi/VW club had a dyno day on Saturday. I put the week-old A3 up and this is what she pulled:

That's on a dynapack dynamometer - which usually reports lower numbers than your standard rollers and what not.

Looks like the 2.0T is underrated at 200HP. Not that I'm complaining :)

Still good numbers for being bone stock...

Yeah, peaked at 183-184WHP - notably above the 170WHP that was expected.

That seems pretty incredible, that's only like a 7% drivetrain loss, right?

More likely it's putting out a bit more than 200 at the crank.

I suddenly like my car more now...[:D]

I have quattro though so I will probably have more drivetrain loss...oh well

What were other cars pulling that day? It would be good to get a point of reference....

is that corrected crank HP and not wheel? because i think it is based on how close it is to 200

it's no secret that VAG underates their motors...that's good news for everyone though.

NS found this out when they were tweaking around w/ the A3

Motor Trend has it at 207 CHP and 0-60 at 6.2. Sounds about right.

The spike is just a little anomoly for 150 RPMs, the power does look very good though. It seems to be right at 200CHP though.

The torque if off the hook though [up] [up] [up] [up] [up]

And just think, with a simple chip upgrade, exhaust,..etc., you can be around 250-260CHP (it's so unfair [:(] ). I can only imagine the first turbo upgrade bumping that up to 300+ easily.

What turbo is on the 2.0T?
