Do most people clay and wax the entire car? In one of the stickied articles it mentions it takes about 25 minutes to clay above the trim line. So do you guys get the bottom of the front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper etc?
Thanks for the input.

My take...definitely the whole car. Horizontal surfaces first, then front clip, followed by side panels, rear panels, and glass, if you're so inclined. For a first time effort, I'd suggest closer to 45 minutes. Use plenty of lubricant, and fold the bar OFTEN so a clean surface is presented to the paint. Rinse as you go, or re-wash afterward. You will be amazed.
After claying, your paint is naked. You'll want to wax/seal to protect the finish.

yes I would agree its a good idea to clay the complete car its not much work at all.
from then on you can upkeep it by hit up the heavier hit areas like the rear end of the car.

Yeah take the time to clay it really well, plan to give yourself lots of time because it will be worth it, remember the first time I did it I got compliments all the time from random people, I clay it every spring

So you recommend claying and than re-waxing your car once a year? I bought my car brand new in May of last year and was just thinking of doing a hand wax this spring and maybe a clay bar and wax the following year. I have a clear bra on the front of my car and 90% of the time my car is either in the garage or undercovered parking at work. I wash her on avg. twice a month, sometimes more if it snows just to get that road crud off the paint. Opinions?

Before claying your car perhaps wash with dish soap as this removes all past wax that is still on the paint and gives a fresh start
But here is a question about this dish soap thing. Do you use it instead of claying or just before claying for an added cleanse?

Do the dish soap before claying to remove any leftover wax, etc. Then clay, wash again, then polish/wax as needed.
