I realized yesterday when I took delivery of my car out of service, with a nice wash and all, I noticed a distinct bird dropping mark on my hood that doesn't want to go away. I then applied some Turtle Wax after I got home and spot-waxed the hell out of it but it doesn't seem to improved, looks like I'm toast [headbang]! Not asking for much...but...any suggestions?

I have no clue why but there are 10s of thousands of crows that live probably within 5 miles of my house. You can see thousands of them fly over. Never had a problem with crow shit though.

Yes and if it sat too long it may have ruined the clear coat. Try something like Kit scratch out. Wax won't help much. The trick is to get the droppings off as quickly as possible. If allowed to set in, often times too late. I always carry a water bottle and towels in the car to remove them when I see them. You just soak for a few minutes then wipe off. We have flying cows that apparently eat acid around here. Lol

Yup, every year!!!! Best solution is as B7Joe said, if the shit is wet, pour water on it - helps if its a stream of water. Don't let it cake like ive done couple times

I usually wash it off right away with napkin and water whenever possible. This one somehow went passed and got baked on the hood and I'm not even sure how long it's been there, obviously long enough. My car is garaged all the time, must of been parked under lamp post or something when I was out.

dont just use water, carry a bottle of quick detail with a microfiber cloth in your car that is what i use to get shit or pollen off my paint.

Clay bar will take it right off... I have had the annoying "magical bird shit stain" dozens of times... you can see the faint mark of it permanently in the paint, just need to clay bar it and re-wax it. If you are really picky about your paint finish... claybar > compound > wax
