Thule Atlantis 1600 or 1800?

I have a 2011 B8 S4 (sedan) and want to get one of these boxes but I'm not sure which one. I want to be able to comfortably fit 4 snowboards and some gear (boots, etc).

Will the 1600 be enough room or should I be safe and go with the 1800? The longest snowboard going in there is a 154cm.

We use a 1600 and I would be surprised if you could get 4 boards with bindings and much additional gear. Our last trip had 2 snowboards, 2 kids skis and adult skis. There was not much space left for additional gear. The 1800 would be my recommendation for the extra space.
