Hey, guys! I am currently on the hunt for the C5 RS6 alcantara headliner, pillars, visors, grab handles, etc. My leather, dash, and door panels are sabre black so I'm hoping to find the same color for the alcantara. So far, ordering from eBay.de is proving to be difficult (maybe even a little sketchy). For a new set, I'd be looking at roughly $7k so I'd prefer a used set. If anyone or any salvage yard is looking to sell for a reasonable price, I am extremely interested. This retrofit might sound crazy to some but I am serious about it. Any help/advice is always appreciated. Thanks!

Probably much wiser to buy the Alcantara material and recover your own. That will give you an opportunity to ensure your sunroof drains are clean and properly attached, and will prevent you from buying a headliner that has been leaked on previously.

Great advice, not so much of a redneck are you? LOL

I am quite the redneck! You should see some of my past vehicles. Mechanically sound, aesthetically abhorrent.

"Abhorrent" is a SAT word dude. None of the rednecks I know have used that word in a sentence.

I can't find the link now, but a couple weeks ago I came across a UK based seller on eBay that had a couple complete alcantara sets for sale. I think they may have been Avant sets though. I'd be hesitant shipping a headliner over a long distance as I think that would be pretty vulnerable to getting bent or cracked. The other thing to remember is that Europe and Mexico got the S6 in both sedan and avant which also had full alcantara pillars + headliners, and the alcantara piece between S6 and RS6 are the same, so you might want to expand your search to include euro S6 models as well.

As mentioned, buying the used headliner is the worst way to go about this.
In the best case scenario, you'd be paying $$$ for almost 10 year old headliner, and those clips like to break btw..what happens if it starts to sag on you the month after?
If you want the headliner, take it to your local upholstery shop. I'd bet they could do it for less than half what it would cost you, they could do it right away as opposed to searching relentlessly for a used set and there's no chance of shipping damage. There are no advantages what-so-ever to buying the rs6 parts.

Hell, for that matter just take your pillars and visors to the shop at the same time. That way you're getting them all freshly covered and from the same bolt/lot of fabric so there's no issues about colour matching and what not.
