OK, I searched as much as I could but am still not sure what to do.

Yesterday I looked at my odometer and it was at 300, usually at 300 my fuel gauge is down to the red line. Today on my way to work i noticed that the gauge is inbetween a 1/4 and a half tank. When i got home the gauge hasnt moved at all.

At first i thought because i cleaned my maf sensor last week it made a huge difference but im on pace for 440 miles on this tank when i usually get 320 so i know something is wrong with the gauge.

Searching mostly came up with the sending unit. If im reading correctly there are 2 of them? One on the left and one on the right. Im a bit confused.

Im just wondering how would I go about diagnosing what side I should buy or even if it is the sending unit? If it helps any I had the low pressure fuel pump replaced in august.

Thanks

?

Maybe actually fill up your car and see how many gallons it takes. If that jives with the reading on the gauge then you have no problem.

Too common sense?

Im sorry I forgot to write that I did get gas and the needle is still reading the same.

I'm just wondering how do I know which sending unit I need to replace?
