I recently came across a CPO 2012 S4 premium plus with 12000 miles on it, midnight blue with black alcantara interior with the following specs:

19" 5-SEGMENT-SPOKE-DESIGN ALLOY WHEELS W/P255/35R19 SUMMER TIRES
AUDI ADVANCED KEY
AUDI MMI NAVIGATION PLUS
BLACK LEATHER SPORT SEATS
CARBON ATLAS DECORATIVE INLAYS
REAR ACOUSTIC PARKING SENSORS

It doesn't have the sports diff but i can deal with it. The dealer was asking 48K but I got him down to 45K. Good deal or still too high? Thanks!

Sport diff or GTFO.

Have you driven both sport diff and non-sport diff back to back? It makes the car, not to mention, you'll have a harder time selling a non-sport diff model to anyone in the know.

I have not driven one without sports diff but after all the research that was the one thing I made sure I had.

...and the next gen, younger buyer who is 18 now and dreaming of getting a used S4 in a few years will be in the know ....that will be the only option he'll want. That is your future market when you want to get rid of it.

To answer the OP's question: I think it's an OK price, but considering it does not have the B&O sound package I would try for $44500.

I have not test driven an S4 with sports differential but I currently drive an Acura TSX so even without the differential, getting into an S4 would be a huge upgrade. Isn't there a Stasis sports differential on the market? I am going to try to get the dealer to come to $44,500 since I have to travel from Boston to Long Island to pick up the car, at least he can make the trip worth my time.

I agree and don't agree. Yes I drove both Diff and Non-Diff. I have the Sports Diff and unless you are tracking the F$CK out of the car or driving like a crazed maniac on public roads (which you shouldn't be doing anyways) it's not that significant of a difference. Just my opinion. For the everyday driver an S4 is a beast of a car in vanilla form.

YOLO: If you like the car I say get it. The deal doesn't sound bad anyways... CPO warranty is always attractive.

Oh I don't disagree with you at all...all I'm saying is the younger buyer who will be the market 3-5 years down the road will look for a sports diff example, because of popular opinion on forums like these and old car magazine reviews.

The car in stock form is an understeering pig IMO, with or without the sports diff.

sport diff is a must
