So today I went ahead and swapped my control arms and when i reinstalled the shock assembly, one of the top bolts stripped. Its one of the three bolts in the engine bay connected to the upper strut mount. Now the bolt that stripped will spin freely but never bite. It actually did a pretty clean job of stripping it. I can get the bolt out no problem, but can I rethread the hole? Or is it best to try and find a used strut mount?

Just re thread the hole and it should be just fine. You just might have to use a bolt that's a little bigger. Easily found at your local hardware store

What he said. Get a tap that is slightly bigger then the previous bolt. Then a bolt that matches that thread pitch.

Whats the bolt size? Im assuming m10x35?

What is that tube? And other thingy?

That would be an AC pipe I believe. And the other thingy is a resistor mounted on a bracket to power my leds.

Fixed it. M10 bolt with nylon lock nut and a lock washer, torqued to 70nm. Should be fine right?
