I want to install the antenna in front of the rear windshield on my roof and I'm scared to screw up my weather seals. Is there a good write up on how to do this? If there isn't, if someone walks me through it i'll do a write up with pics.

No advise for mounting on the roof, but another option to consider is placing the antenna on the rear deck inside the car. That's where I have my XM antenna and it works fine...no complaints and I don't notice a signal drop between this position and having it roof mounted on my old car.

I have my XM antenna on the the front dash...right at the base of the windshield.. works great..

OK sounds good. I'll try to it on the rear deck. Does the antenna have to be facing up? If I can use double sided tape to secure it inside at the top of the rear glass.

I'd just put it on the rear deck, not the window. Will be less noticeable and work just as well.
