Haha ya i just replayed the sound bit and it doesn't sound bad, but in person its a loud ticking noise, which i never heard before. It goes on for a bit, but then stops after like 5 minutes of driving. i searched the forums and apparently it could be the injectors and its normal, but i haven't heard it before and its fairly loud.
Do you guys think i should go into the dealership and have them check it out?

Kind of sounds like what mine sounds like which is an exhaust manifold leak... I'm not saying it is, but it sounds a lot like it

would the noise then come directly from the engine bay?
and thanks again for the help!

My car is naturally aspirated, it doesn't have a turbo

your motor is also not direct injection, which has the loud ticking injectors. Port injected low pressure injectors are typically not very loud. It sounds like a lifter tap. Probably goes away as your oil thins out and you can build pressure in the hydraulic lifter.
What weight oil are you running? The temperatures have dropped here in PA over the past couple of days so your oil will be thicker on cold start.

I'm pretty sure I'm running 5w-40 pennzoil ultra
It's what jiffy lube reccomended.
Should I be using a different weight to account for the temperature.

Check your timing belt. You could have skipped a tooth causing the tap before. Of course, this is just a 1000' guess from a distance.
also, where in PA are you?

Hey Owen I'm in pittsburgh!
And ill look into the timing chain. I'm naming on calling roadside tomorrow and just seeing if they have an obd2 and can diagnose on the spot. Cuz if its a big problem I'm gonna have to wait since I'm leaving the country for three weeks on Wednesday.

hmm, im in philly. Too far.
forgot you where a 3.2, since you have a chain the chances are unlikely it failed. A guide could have gone, but that typically wouldn't cause the engine to stop working. It would just get really noisy.

Haha ya Philly is pretty far!
Thanks for the help though appreciate it!
Ill prob just get it taken in to the shop.
Do you reccomend I get it towed to a mechanic or a service center at a dealership?
