Audi GTG/Canyon Run, Sunday 12/30 SCS Car Show

I'm sure that many people will be busy with the holidays but if anyone is interested in a post-Christmas, pre-New Years meet/greet followed by a Canyon run and lunch, sound off and I'll put something together. Depending on turn out and interest, we have a few cool alternatives to the usual ending of the cruise at Johnny Rockets.

When: Sunday December 30th

Where: Supercar Sunday is located at:
Westfield Promenade Mall
6100 Topanga Canyon Boulevard
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

Because we aren't meeting on a Marque event, parking is much simpler than in the past. I'll be there at 0700 fueling my body with high octane Colombian.

For the cruise we stage up in the east corner of the parking lot. We will depart at 0930. Radios help for sure so you know whats going on when we stop and when we are rolling out. If not just follow the scent.

That's what I was talking about. I think everyone would enjoy a bit of a change up on the lunch destination. We need to get a handle on roughly what size turnout first.

Think of it this way, silver is easier than most other colors to keep clean. Or if dirty looks much cleaner than it is. I miss my silver S4 for this reason. My phantom black avant is ALWAYS looking dirty. If I were you, and I'm not so feel free to throw this out the window, I would wrap it later after you add wheels and anything else you want. It could be that after you add these other pieces that you actually like the color and you don't want to wrap it. But additionally if after adding the other pieces and living with the car for a little bit you may get a better idea for the color wrap you REALLY want. There are other advantages to silver, other than the main one I mentioned earlier, pretty much any color wheel or any other mod you do will look good with it. Glad you're working your way back to audi bud. See you this Sunday!

T.O. is a bit out of the way for the route I have planned. Lunch destination is a surprise. I'll just say that it's casual but legendary West Coast spot with fare that should be able to satisfy cravings for land animals, sea creatures, or rabbit food.[>_<] I'll have to double check that they are not filming there this weekend though.

I got my new '04 AR on Xmas Eve!

As long as I can get this damn infamous JHM ss re-adjusted then I'll consider going, but right now it's a pita and not working in my favor. Kinda hard to drive when it won't go into gear. Damn trucker who delivered it kept trying to slam it into reverse and 1st and mis-aligned the shifter.

I'll be there rain or shine. I think it'll dump a bit tonight and clear up by 10 so why don't we plan to leave at 10am like last week... I ran the route today in the Cayenne and had to move a number of boulders out of the road. If it rains too hard tonight, I may change the route entirely to try and avoid rock slides that might damage wheels or tires. I'll decide after I run a portion of the route on my way down to SCS in the morning. As usual, with weather being a question mark, we'll need to be flexible. The upside to rain is that it clears the canyons of most traffic. The downside is that we need to be very careful of rocks. No repeats of last week allowed.[:o]

Absolutely great meeting and cruising with everyone yesterday. What an amazing representation of Audis. The drive was challenging (my Son unfortunately lost his breakfast in my back seat!) and the lunch spot at Neptune's Net was a joy.
