Hey guys wondering how long most of you have had your clutch last. Asking more for people that drive on the harder side. Thanks!

I think there are too many variables to come up with meaningful information. Some people drag race, others never launch, some track, others drive like old ladies, some are stock, some are tuned, some drivers are easy on equipment, and there are others to whom I wouldn't lend my car for a trip around the block.
However, to add to the data, I'm stock at 28000 km, track regularly, never launch, heel and toe my downshifts and have never had slippage.

There are various variables to this, we've had customers that needed their clutch replaced in 20K miles and others with 55K+ still on the original clutch. It all depends on your driving style.

All depends. You could get 10k on one or you could probably get 100k on one. Too many variables.

Kai is spot on, you can smoke a clutch in a few minutes if you don't know how to drive a standard or if your careful a stock clutch can last essentially forever.

Anyone with 30k-50k mile cars?

@17k w/ no issues - rarely launch hard though - have my 10 month old in the car 90% of the time so pushing it is left to the mid (3-4) range gears :)

52K, and still the original clutch. I rarely launch it due to not wanting to have to replace the clutch. I do drive it pretty hard, but launch hard maybe once a month.

I put 70k miles on a stock clutch with APR stageII+. I tried a clutch masters stage 4, it lasted for about 7k miles, now I'm back to the stock clutch.

60k here. I do a lot of highway style pulls, and drive it very hard. Besides an occasional clutch slip on a quick shift no real issues. I have a Clutchmasters cx400 sitting on my desk though just in case ;)

Had a drag and lap event today. You basically drag on the straightaway and continue to do one lap on the track.
I did slip my clutch twice trying to launch perfectly. Still feels fine, but it did smell like clutch. I guess I just shortened its life span.
Can anyone say how long did your clutch last after some slippage here and there on track/drag days?

37.7k miles, still on original clutch. I've taken my car to 4 track days, and 2 seasons (2 years) of autox. One autox event included 16 drag race starts. Clutch still works fine for daily driving. For autox or track (recently), it could slip.

Do most people experience clutch slippage when performing a hard launch or highway pulls?

If you know how to drive a manual, it could last over 100K easily.

Good call. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Clutchmaster clutches, and there is zero chance that I would ever put one in the S4. DXD or go home.

Stumbled on this old thread from a google search trying to find out how long the clutch will last. Mine has 122k miles on the original clutch. 2010 S4. No slippage.

It all depends on how the car was used and/or abused. My 2011 had 80K miles when I traded it and clutch was working fine. I was the 3rd owner so I have no idea how it was driven for the first 49 k miles. A girl was the previous owner. Also based on bad experiences I had with clutch pedal remaining on the floor with clutch burning on 2 occasion WOT shifting 1/2. I never did WOT I first gear from less then 10 mph. That happened on my 2010 that I leased new .

69k miles, stock, no problems. 69.5k w/ GIAC Stage 2 w/ AWE Pulley, clutch let me know I need to replace it. After a 1/2 dozen highway pulls, I was at a stoplight, and attempted to launch around 2,500 rpm at full throttle, it slipped massively in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. It would only hook up at low throttle inputs.
I'm sure without a tune, I could get to 100k miles no problem.

Mine's 95k km, I just got it but from original owner. Stage 2 SP since 2016 and still stock clutch, and it feels good to me.

2014. 58K here, stock clutch. I drive decently aggressive, but I don't go crazy shifting and no tracking. I just went stage 1 a few months ago. I replaced slave cylinder 2 years ago when it went. Otherwise not much, just changed to stainless steel clutch lines when I went stage 1.

I changed my clutch when car was 71K miles, now it is 74K and cluch is burnt, so I need to change it again [headbang]
We do researh and understand that the problem was OEM cluch line, it was leaked, so be very attentive about it
I registered in Audizine afrer this situation
I live in Ukraine, there are just 4 audi s4b8.4 with MT6, so nobody have in stock the clutch for my car, need to wait 2 week to deliever it from Germany.

Oh I drive mad crazy on Stage 2 DP on OEM clutch. Been 10k, starting to see slips on wot gear-enabled pulls. Probably due to the fact I launch a lot!
