3" random orbital

I just got a 6" with blue and black pads. I was looking at the 3" and it dOesnt come with black pads. I only found up to blue pads on DD website. I was planning to use 1z metallic polish with blue pads and 1z glanz with black pads. But what do I do with the 3" orbital? Do I use blue pads for both polish and wax? Would the results be different?

My car is new and don't have any corrections really. Just want a good clean then protect. Or should I be considering the green pads for the polish? Same question still stands for the 3" RO.

Also, how long should these pads last? Can one pad last a whole car polish and one for wax?
