I have always liked the B8 S4, so I decided to make a huge change from my S2000. I have to say the difference is huge for me, being 4 doors, heavier and less nimble than my S2000. However, I am enjoying this car a lot with the S tronic gearbox, and its overall practicality. I just picked up the car yesterday around 4pm, and I had the H&R Sports springs installed this morning. On order, I have the AWE exhaust, downpipe, and intake. After the bolt on's I will definitely be doing the APR tune. I must say though, I wish I got the Supersports or a set of coilovers [wrench]
Anyways, happy to join everyone here at Audizine! :D

Congrats on the move!!Now you have Quattro, 4 doors, an engine that doesn't have to be Rev'd to infinite to extract HP.. All in all an excellent trade off [up]

I traded my old S4 a 2010 and my 08 S2000 for a new S4 last week. I miss my S2000, best car I ever had. That thing owed me nothing. The only thing I don't miss is the loud highway ride. I'm just down the road from you in Niagara. Anyway, I have the AWE installed on my new S4. I have the PSS10 coil overs for S4 which I will be installing in the spring. These are off my old S4. This is the way to go. I had springs and sport dampers on my old S4 and hated them. Coil overs are thr way to go. Springs alone in my experience your dampers will wear out rather quickly and leave you with a s$&t ride. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions and enjoy the ride.

Congrats - you absolutely got the best colour! :)
If I can make a lift work in my garage (I'm closely following Cory's thread), my hope is to have an S4 (or B8 Avant) and an S2000. I've never owned an S2000, but got to drive one many years ago, and have wanted one as a toy car ever since - reliable, relatively cheap, and is essentially a road legal go-kart.

Honestly with the cheap price you can get S2000's for nowadays its a no brainer if you are looking for a weekend track day toy. Have to remember the car was $50k back when it was new, now you can pick up one for like $10-$14k. I know a lot of people who have sold their S2000's and moved onto Caymans etc, and ended up buying another S2000. I guess you have to drive one to really appreciate the engineering behind the car. I probably will get another S2000 in 2 years just to make it into a track car, I miss that car already! A set of coilovers + a nice set of R-compounds, and you are riding rails, as people put it here at the forums, its a cheap legal go kart.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had all had infinite garage space? No matter how much you love your pride and joy, you eventually need a new car. Maybe so we aren't always working on our daily, so we can stop hunting for those suspension noises or interior rattles, so we can fit car seats or other adults in our car, maybe just so we don't end up some old bald dude in a kid's car. But if we are buying an S4 we didn't need to sell our babies to afford it. We sold it because we have nowhere to keep them. But we've put our heart and soul into these cars, and no one is every going to pay what they are worth to us. Such a shame.
When the S4 finally gets back to the States, I am going to see if I can leave my MSP at my parent's or a single friend's place with a 3 car, but I know that's only going to last a couple months and I'll have to sell her. She's brought so many smiles to my face, and taken so much skin from my knuckles. The thought of selling her is just frightening.
I really don't know how people go through cars every couple of years. My cars are my children. I guess the only solution is a bigger garage. I think I'll go take a look on Zillow.

The sprint blue is an excellent choice. Unfortunatkey for me colour choices were limited as i needed to,make a quick deal.
Yes the S2000 was $50,000 in Canada and $34,500 in the States. Most Canadian including me bought theirs stateside, I paid $22,000 for my 08 and drove it 2 full summers. I out on 25,000 km during that time. I just got rid of her last week. It would have sat until April 1st anyway. I sold it for $21,000. It was an Honda certified car I picked up in Michigan. What a steal andwhat a car. $1,000 for two summers I can't complain. My reason for selling the S2000 was my nely licenced 17 year old. With three rides in the house he would have been considered a full time driver, now with two cars including a GTI he is an occasional driver at $85 per month. I don't want to tell you what he would have cost as a third full time driver. Once he's finished school and has his own car I'll for sure have another convertible and very likely another S2000.

When I bought my S4... 2012, Sprint Blue was no longer a standard colour, and I could not justify paying 4-6k for a colour.. I thought it was a rip off, especially when it used to be a standard colour, and ended up using that money for premium package instead.
I really wish I got it in sprint blue, but Brilliant red is still pretty nice.

Yeah I must say, if the car was not Sprint Blue I don't think I would of gotten it. I have the same scenario for a E46 M3, I looked for a Leguna Seca Blue FOREVER.. so hard to find. Brilliant red with the Titanium package is so niceee

Audi Exclusive colors are $2500. A custom matched color is $6k from what I was told. $2500 isn't too bad. The Estoril I bought was $1100 extra anyway. I almost ordered black cherry since I've wanted a car that color since the Shinka edition RX-8, but Audi's version of it looks kind of brown in pictures and my family talked me out of it. I did see a Sepang B8 S4 the other day. I creepily followed him to Costco to find out about the car, but I think he was happy someone noticed.

I am so jealous of your Sprint blue everytime I look at it!!! Ugh.. Worse thing is I see so many Brilliant Red A4s.. and ppl think my car is an A4... Sprint blue is exclusive to S4s... so from far you know it's an S4... I didn't get the titanium package on mine... but I am happy with the way it looks now.

$2500 USD right? Don't forget we canadians get charged more for everything compared to Americans.. -___-
Had it been $2500 Canadian I probably would have done it.
Strange you get charged more when the US and Canadian dollar are essentially equivalent now. I understand import and auto taxes differ and that plays a role, but you wouldn't think that would affect an option like a custom color, especially at double the price. It certainly doesn't cost Audi twice as much to paint a Canadian car as a US one.

Canadians have to pay extra $1000 to get into the Exclusive options for paint... If Sprint was still available in '12 I would have gone that route, but instead went exclusive for Sepang. I really love the sporty youthfulness of Sprint :)

Guys.. today sucks.. was getting my alignment done.. my mechanic told me to take a look at the rear passenger brake caliper/lines, it was dripping oil. As shitty as that is.. I drove home (not to far from the shop) and my coolant light goes off, I pull over and see the coolant is way below minimum. I look at the temp and its shot up 100+.. as everyone knows I bought the car pre-owned certified at an audi dealer 4 days ago.. i am not to happy right now.

Right? it almost looks like its not dropped. Yes, if you park next to a stock S4, you will be able to tell the big difference, but still.. the stance is just not right.. also the ride is mehh.. coilovers for sure this spring.

Yeah the ride is really what kills it for me. Hoping coilovers improve that.
Its the perfect height for me at the moment though. Hell even had a hard time getting it onto the flatbed without touching the front lip

you have a titanium package sepang blue in toronto? which part of toronto are you from? it looks spectacular! we defintely need to do a photoshoot together.
Good luck with the repairs. Im guessing waterpump will be changed and the rear is the sports diff leak. Known issues that once handled should be fine.
I am also looking into buying an S2k as an extra vehicle. I bought my 350Z over the S2k cause my stepdad had an S2k that I got to drive occasionally. + the 350Z has torque, something S2k doesnt have but that 9k redline is ORGASMIC.

Hey bro, just fixed it and got it back. Immediately ordered the Deval rear diffuser, AWE exhaust and downpipe.. the set back slowed me down on the modding bug.. Need to catch up.. hahaha

Deval rear diffuser is such an awesome upgrade. I love mine.
