Anyone have a good recommendation on a real estate agent? I'm currently in the market and wanted to chime in with you all here.

Yes it is my mom and she has been in real estate for over 35 years. I am sure if you look at her website it will have more useless info. It does allow you to put in a search and everyday a new listing fitting your specifics come on the market you get an email. Pretty cool.

Yes, I did buy my house with her as my agent. During the closing process the other agent/investment partial owner I did meet without her there. He said, how do you know your agent. Ah your mom, yeah she is really good.

Good luck,

Los Altos is somewhat far from south San Jose and are two completely different markets. If she is up to date with the south San Jose area trends and whatnot then it wouldn't matter really but the distance is quite a bit.
In all honesty though, when shopping for a house it really comes down to how much research YOU do. The agent can point out some things but in general if I could unlock every house I wanted to see when my wife and I were shopping for a house I wouldn't even have needed an agent. For us the important factors in choosing an agent were his/her availability and flexibility to show us homes when we wanted to see them, even if it was at night, and the responsiveness with documents and submitting offers and following up.
With that said, we used Margaret Yost from the Coldwell Banker office on Almaden Expwy in San Jose. She specializes in the Almaden area but she and her son, David, have been in the area for over twenty years and I wouldn't hesitate using them again for another home purchase. I am sure there are many other agents who would also do just as good of a job. It's best to try them out, have them come and show you a house, see how prepared them are with background information on the home, and go from there.

I live in South San Jose in the Blossom Hill, Snell area. She has sold numerous homes in this area. Yes, she can open the lock boxes here.

Just trying to help

O wow, you live so close to me. We should get together with our cars some day. I am near Santa Theresa and Blossom ave.
And absolutely nothing against your mom, I was only mentioning the distance between her office in Los Altos and this area but like I said that may not mean anything when it comes to these things.

No problem, I'd be happy to give you a ride.
Just PM me when you have some time one of these days. I am free tomorrow (Sunday) or during the week after 4:30.

My wife and I are also in the market for a home as well, and my current agent sucks. It's hard to find that one super agent. And buying a house in the bay area is so competitive nowadays.

Wow so, many Audi members near me as well. I'm in the Snell and Capital area. I think I saw you (97B518TQM) near the 101 & 87 interchange yesterday. Since I noticed your quad exhaust tips. Nice to have 610hp on tap. I was in a CASA S4.

Ya, that was probably me. I think I saw you too, getting on 101. Do you have 18" Avus wheels? At least they looked bigger than the stock 17" avus ones. Always a good feeling seeing another S4 that has been taken care of.

That sounds like a good idea. Wish the weather was a bit better but oh well.

Yes, that was me with the 18" Avus wheels. You're S4 is clean as well. I kind of took a double take when I saw your quad tips.[cool]

I may be a little late on the reply, but I'm new to the site and am just now getting to the regional forum....been busy watching endless videos on exhaust options for my '13 S4 and seeing what else is available.

I've been a Realtor here for 13 years, and a Broker for 10 of those. I'm at Coldwell Banker in Los Gatos, but do a lot of work in San Jose. I grew up in the Bay Area, college at Davis, grad. school at Santa Clara U, am a licensed general contractor, but work in Real Estate full-time. I'd like to think that I do more than unlock doors and write contracts. There are plenty of people that do just that, so it's important to pick the right person.

I think it's a good idea to meet some different agents as we all have different styles and offer different strengths. If you're still looking, give me a call or pm me.

Work aside, loving the new car and looking forward to meeting some local Audi gear heads.
