So winter is coming and im all set to begin my winter project... remove the k03 and put a stage 3 tial 605...

Heres the mods of the car

Engine :

Stock block still pull and running great
Stage 3 turbo kit tial 605
750cc injectors ev14
apr bi-pipe
3 inch downpipe
stage 3+ spec and flywheel
ER intercoolers
034 Coil Conversion & ICM Delete Kit, 2.7T to 2.0T FSI Coils
STERN motor mount
85mm maf
rs4 accordeon hose


SPEC stage 3+ clutch and flywheel
NEUSPEED short shifter
APIKOL Diff Carrier Mount Pair
APIKOL Rear Diff Mount
STERN tranny mount
JHM 01E 6-speed Full Rebuild Kit (OEM) W updated 1-2 collar
AWE tuning tranny stabilizer

ST coilover
034 Trackdensity shock mount
034 Adjustable front upper arms

What motor mounts are you running? Also are you doing timing and water pump?

Im running 034 street density motor mount...timing belt, waterpump, PS pump, fan clutch, idler roller and tensioner have less than 3000 miles on it... i was not planning to put the car stage 3 but here im am :)... expected 425whp

lol :) i will begin with this and if its not enough maybe METH :P... i was planning to put IE rods... but everybody said to me that the stock block is good enough for 500 whp...

subscribed. my build is almost the same. except my shortblock is going to be a 3.0 crank with IE rods and 92.8/82.5 mahle pistons and ported 2.7 heads with 2.8 intake cams
if i dont make 500whp I am selling the car and buying a ford escort

Put dustboots on those control arms. If exposed, they will wear out and make hella noise. I know this from experience.

Those motor mounts won't last long. Buy their new ones, or put in some sterns. Save yourself the hassle.

I see some rust on your trans. I had the same problem and I got some brush on high temp paint. It's way better than the spray high temp stuff. You should paint yours too.

+1 on the new 034 solid motor mounts im running all solid mounts on my tial 605 car no complaints the street density wont last long or perform that well
and with the mods your doing you'll see atleast 450whp on 93oct i dynoed 520whp on 93oct no meth on a dynoject before i put 2.8 heads and CAT cams

okay thanx for the tips.. i will change to stern mount for engine and sell my 034 density line... i will clean and paint the tranny to and put the dust boots on control arms... i should had done this when i have done the rebuilt... stern sell 2 kind of mount... wich one you recommend...

I see some rust on your trans. I had the same problem and I got some brush on high temp paint. It's way better than the spray high temp stuff. You should paint yours too.

Little update... like many of yours recommend me to change the 034 motor mount and tranny to stern one... i just receive this :)

i just put my 034 for sale...they have less than 10000km

Just powder coat my intake manifold and valve cover for a clean look

now im all set... im ready to put back the engine

the only thing missed : THE TUNE for the ECU

Your doing a 605 build and bought ssac 3-2.5in dp's? Those are going to be way to restrictive. On a ko4 car you see big gains from going from those exact dp's to full 3in.

At least you got 3in downpipes!

Beware 034 downpipes fit like total crap, i have better luck with ssac downpipes fitment. But nonetheless, you got 3in [up]

Updates 12-12-16

Just drop the 044 in !!! i also take pix of a DIY and i will put it here SOON...


Intake manifold with spacer ( for those who put the spacer on the intake manifold... because is upper than OEM you will have to cut the side braket and the two circle on both timing cover to fit it if you have an APR bipipe-kit



Now im just waiting for the 034 downpipe and ignition and after that i will be ready to put it back in place

Be glad you opted for the 034 3" DPs. I wish I would have spent a little more and gone 3" when I did my 605 build. However, a custom 3.5" single is in the works in the near future.

One thing I did that I'm really happy about was update the spider hose assy to the late model/Allroad version along with a late model y-pipe. I customized mine in order to not have to purchase a late model intake manifold and utilized the f-hose. It was pretty straight forward and I don't ever have to worry about the brittle plastic old style spider hose breaking in the future.
