Minor Tire Damage

My sister with her mad driving skillz curbed a wheel on her A7. Very slight damage to the wheel but she tore into the rubber rim protector on the tire pretty good. The dime shaped piece of the rubber rim protector is still attached but is cut. Tire is a 20" P Zero. No damage at to the integrity of the tire but I don't want to tear off the flap as it will look a little strange with it missing.

I just want to reattach it. Any harm in using a very small amount of rubber cement or something else to reattach it (I'm talking like a tiny drop of the stuff?)

I had a similar situation a year ago. I used some gorilla glue. It's held up pretty well and isn't too noticeable.
