Sounds simple but I am only seeing one screw in the corner of each grill that doesn't seem to want to come off ?
Just thought I would ask before the pulling and prying started.

not sure if this diagram helps, but it looks like there are two long tabs towards the outer edges. perhaps pull out and towards the center to prevent damage to these longer tabs?

That doesnt help much, its pretty firmly in there so until I figure out how it attached I am not going to start yanking away, there are more than 2 plastic tabs holding that thing in place I am sure of it. Ah well another project postponement.

I will have to check mine to be sure, but based on the procedure I used for my old A4, you should be able to push down on the three tabs on the top to unclip them, and then pull it out, you don't touch the long tabs to the right.

Where did you get that? Anything like that for the b8s? When I had the BMW there was a website with the schematics for the whole car including part #s. Anything like that for our cars?

You can see in that picture that there are 3 small tabs on top of the grille. Those need to be pushed in to remove the grille. You might be able to slide something thin in there from the front to push them down. Otherwise the bumper would have to come off to get them from the back.

Should be very similar to the B8. Two tabs on the outer side slide into the bumper cover then snap in on the inner side. I had mine off numerous times. Should be two small openings where you insert a flat head to release the clip and pull them out and away from the opposite side. I honestly just gave mine a good tug on the clipped side after the first removal. Cant hurt it.

Mops, did yours also have the 3 tabs on top of the grille locking it into the bumper?

Nope, only two clipping tabs on the inner portion and the fixed, positioning tabs on the outer.

Ok. The B8.5 is different. As stated in my previous post, and as you can see in the picture, there are tabs that need to be pushed in to remove the grille. I saw them when I had my bumper off because I was trying to figure out how to remove the fog grilles in case I wanted to get the black line ones.

Is there a similar diagram for the 2013 A4s?

Cannot access them from the exterior? If not, thats just ghey. First you must pull B8 bumper covers to switch the center grille. Now the fogs? Either way, you could pull the wheel and access through the wheel well. Thats also very awkward that the clips are on the top side and guides are on the vertical.

Accessing them through the wheel well is a good idea. Sadly, I never even thought of that.

Ok all sorted. You dont need to push anything ! You insert a small "hook" into the small hole toward the inside of each grill an you pull out toward you, there are about 6 tabs along the top and bottom and 2 tabs at the outside end that slide behind the bumper so you remove from the inside edge first then pull toward the outside and you reinstall with the reverse.

Even better! Those tabs looked like they were on there pretty good when I had my bumper off. Never thought they would come out that easy. Glad you got it sorted out tho.
