I kept my car stock for mostly a year but upon driving about 15k in that first year it turned out that I needed a new set of tires. Originally had the Pirelli Cinturato P7s with the stock 18" wheels. I have always been a huge fan of the 19" Ti wheels so when a friend offered to sell me his I bought them in a heartbeat. It was a deal I couldn't refuse. So now my favorite 19" wheels meant I had to buy 19" tires. Got another crazy deal so I bought the Dunlop Sport Maxx GT in 255/35/19. Upgrading the wheels was the first mod.

Dunlop Impressions: First let me say that I liked my stock Pirelli tires. No complaints. I liked the wet and dry handling, cornering was tight but treadwear left a lot to be desired, IMO. Going from 18" - 19" I do get a little more road feel probably due to the lower profile tire. Road noise is the same. The tread pattern is very aggressive and has a cool looking sidewall. Cornering is a little more stable but I haven't really pushed it because I feel I should break them in for 500 miles first. Overall, I'm pleased with the Dunlops. Pics of the wheels and tires below.

Coming soon... plastidip the front grill, tinted windows and a very subtle spoiler for the trunk lid. Maybe some spacers and an intake as well. For now I am doing mostly cosmetic mods. No go fast goodies yet. I drive fairly aggressively and don't need repair headaches right now. But I have my eye on the Stasis tune with a warranty. So that may happen soon.

Sorry for the bad pics the outside lighting sucked. I used my cell phone and the pics came out much better than my high tech camera. I guess I should learn how to use it. If I get better pics I will post them.

Put the trunk lid spoiler on yesterday and I'm very pleased with how it looks. It's very subtle and hard to notice unless you're up close. But it looks cool and I like it. Bought for only $29 dollars shipped on eBay. Great price but a bit of a challenge to install.

Thanks. The spoiler is painted with Phantom Black so it blends right in. So far I'm happy with it. We will see how it holds up after some rain/a few washes. The Ti wheels totally transformed the car. Light night and day. It's slowly coming together.

Nice ride indeed ! Mine will be a near copy in a week or so when my Ti's wheels go on for the winter.

I like the way the spoiler looks. And the whole car for that matter.... I bought the same type of lip spoiler off ebay for my old e39 540i sport and was really happy with it. you're right it is kind of a pain to install. but it held up great for a really long time.

Thanks, Jason. I'm glad to hear your spoiler held up for a long time. It's only on there with some super sticky tape. Fit and finish are really good for the money. I am impressed.

Thanks, guys! Hopefully getting tinted this week. Should be another big transformation for small money. I won't be in a big fish bowl anymore.

What tint are you getting?

I think I'm going to go with 35% ceramic tint. I don't want to go too dark. I won't be able to see at night.

Where'd you pick up that lip spoiler from? Does it come in Carbon Fiber?

I bought it off eBay. See the link below. You order by using the paint color code for your car. For example Phantom Black is LZ9Y. I don't know if they have carbon fiber but you can get the spoiler for around $30 shipped and get a carbon vinyl wrap. Someone else may sell one in carbon. The eBay search phrase I used was "Audi B8 spoiler".
