Me and a buddy picked up an 04 B5.5 Passat, tiptronic...4 motion...it's a daily driver. Although...painfully slow. no modding? Screw that...

Yea, its a VW...there is no way in hell I'm going to vortex though.

Where do you guys get your downpipes from? The downpipe looks small and I'm almost about to say a chinese 3" catless would be just fine.

Trying to max out the potential of the little single K03 until it pops.

Point me in the right direction guys!

So HP estimates over stock for following mods.

Full turboback(catless)

Custom, turbo popping tune.

Methanol kit? Cheapo $300 kit?

FMIC needed? Better SMIC options?

Need injectors or no? Stock fine? There must be more...this is WAY too easy.

thinking around 220bhp vs 180 on 93?

tune, testpipe, maybe exhaust, maybe front mount. thats about it.
a tune will put you close to your 220hp number already.
giac says 30-38hp for an ots tune.

Just chip it, get a downpipe and be done. You don't need injectors, an upgraded diverter will be necessary eventually but the stock one will be okay for now and the stock side mount sucks, so you could try to source a better one but I would just keep it as a side mount regardless.

I wouldn't do any more than that because its a tippy and a DD. You don't need to be blowing up the tranny.

Okay, click clacked a new tune in and the car is still slow, although it is ALOT better.

Who is selling a K04? Maybe A F4H? F21? Looking for used maybe.

OK, time for a new turbo. Thinking F21 kit from FT. I hear the AWM heads will not allow to the fullest potential? Someone please enlighten me!

Wouldn't a 2004 be a B6??

Edit: I just looked it up..... They kept the B5 chassis up until 2005, while Audi switch @ 2002 huh, how weird is that?

didnt notice the edit at first. yeah, vw kept goin on the b5 chassis. as for the turbo, an ft will be fine and an awm will not be a limit. probably help on that small of a turbo. you gotta do a little more research. there are plenty of threads around on how to upgrade that will answer all your q's
