That is the stage 3 upgrade for V8s right? I'm not sure if they are working on a replacement for the V6 supercharger.

They are

There are eight piston outlets on that supercharger. Stage 3 for the RS 5 is expected before the V6, since they've had a head start with the RS 4 and S5 V8s.

I thought APR had already hinted at the supercharger they'd be using in the 3.0 V6?

This supercharger is probably improperly sized for the 3.0.

Just duct tape two of the outlets.

Stage 3 is already available for RS5...I think.

Nope. Just the S5.

Oh yea. You're right. Must have misread first time I saw on Apr site.

This must be the obvious 'delay' Arin was talking about lol...

What the... RS5 gets priority over us S4's!! wouldn't u think we would generate more revenue based onsheer volumes?

How long do we have to wait man!

I will believe there is a stage 3 when i see a pulley from giac/awe. lol

From what I've heard our stage 3 will be revolutionary.

I don't think it will just be a bigger S/C.

Bigger S/C + S-tronic tune? :)

From what APR told me, people will say: "wow!, how did they do that?"

Sounds like they are covering all aspects. Since the time I have started on this site and have been able to read and build my own opinion based on knowledge on here I ave come to the realization that APR does the right thing. They do all the research to make sure peoples cars stay driveable daily. I know when the time comes I will be going with them. Cant wait to see this revolutionary Stage 3 kit. I hope it includes updated Clutch, flywheel assembly for us 6MT guys.

Agreed. Based on what I've gathered, it won't be RS4 S/C expensive and it won't simply be a supercharger upgrade.

Some people have speculated adding a turbo.... Would be interesting.

I don't think we will see a teaser anytime soon.

Supercharger flow has a limit, and the bigger Eatons probably won't fit. It would be sweet if they be added turbos and disengaged the S/C at high rpms.

Good question would be, how much boost can the engine handle safely.

I'm not that worried about the clutch since a clutch and flywheel option is in the works.

What worries me most is our rear diff.

Why would the S/C need to disengage?

If, as the president of of APR mentioned to someone, stage 3 won't be out until this coming summer, when will Arin begin to drop bits of information to keep our hopes up and appetite for information sated? What's the speculation on what a "revolutionary" change will be?

The S/C wouldn't have to disengage, but it is parasitic, so disengaging would leave more power for the wheels. Every horse counts. ;)

What worries you about the rear diff? Is it different from the RS 4 rear?

Arin flat-out said that there was no delay because of their RS5 kit or other models.

I was the one who spoke to Stephen and yes he said it might be ready by next summer.

If indeed they add a turbo it's probably not as simple to tune.

Following APRs usual tuning in stages, it makes sense for them to add a turbo. It doesnt make sense to use a bigger S/C and have to change the pulley again.

If it will be able to handle the power. The rear diff can send 100% of power to one wheel. It might be ok, not sure.

The rear diff can send 100% of torque to the either rear wheel up to a limit, which is less than total available power our cars can make, but that scenerio would only occur if you go full throttle when only one rear wheel has traction and neither front wheel has traction. It's unlikely. I'd be more worried about the rear diff mounts.

If it has a limit, then it should be ok. Thanks for clarifying.
