The hybrid pan will not work for our 1.8t. It is for transverse only.

I saw your picture last night when I was really tired. and I just couldnt make sense out of the half tire in the reflection of oil on the floor. I thought you had a tire cut off in half for fun and just let it sit there. Now in my normal mindset I feel really dumb to even think of that

I find it very surprising that there is no aftermarket support for a 2-piece longitudinal 1.8T oil pan. A steel bottom would be good for durability, and would also give near-instant access to clean the pickup screen as regular maintenance. They should have come from the factory like this.

I've been contemplating doing this for a while now. I have a HUGE street sign that I've been thinking about cutting up and bending to make look like the OE one since it is all torn up. Currently running nothing worries me a little.

I would invest in a thor skid plate if you plan on being slammed(laying frame) thats what i did after breaking some tranmission pans. Also i had jb weld its ok for a temporary fix. 1.8t oil pans are a pain to change[down]
