Posting here since no responses in the main forum -

I need new snow tires since my old setup (16") doesn't fit over the new B6S4 brakes. I have a set of sport 5 spoke and want to know if I should stick with 235/45/17 or go with 225/45/17 since they will be slightly narrower? Any issues that should be taken into consideration? Riding at 25.25" all the way around so not low at all. I am leaning towards iPike instead of the Nokian due to the cost difference.

Don't think you'll feel much difference between the 225 and 235s except in your wallet. If the winter wheels are narrower than your summers by 1" than step down to the 225s unless you like a slight stretch.

As for tires, if you find a good deal on Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3s than jump in it. Nice responsive tire, not nearly as sloppy in the corners as the iPike. Great grip in all but the heaviest snow. But your awd should sort that out. Mine is FWD and it handles great on those tires.

Friend of mine has the iPikes on his G37S and constantly complains that the car feels wobbly and unstable in corners and on highway.

Depends in your driving style too I guess.

Good luck.

I currently run 235/40/18 summer with Hankook V12 tires. I will check out the Primacy, thx.
