I had an odd occurence of a scratch in my driver's side headlight on delivery so I just had that replaced - had to wait forever for the replacement part. Dealer needed to redo the clearbra on the light and another spot. While at it I had them add the clearbra on the top of the rear bumper to prevent the pesky scratches. Know its not required but also had the oil change at 2,500 miles. They gave me a 2012 Q5 loaner which wasn't bad...but I had a huge grin on my face when I got back behind the wheel of my baby.

Had my car in for 25k service and had an A4 2.0T as a loaner. First thing that struck me when I got in was the flat, unsupportive seats. Engine is powerful enough but does NOT make pleasing sounds and transmits more vibration into the cabin. Soft suspension, soft steering and YAAAAWWWNNNN, boring slushbox tranny. Same-day shift speed in manual mode. Why bother?

We must be really spoiled because the A4 is NOT a terrible car but, to me, it felt like a cheap econobox and I couldn't wait to get out of it.

Oh, and one more thing. Anyone who can't tell the difference between the Concert and B&O sound systems is truly deaf. IMHO, of course :)

Leor604 .. your post made me laugh....the spoiled part. I was thinking that too. The Q5 I had was loaded with all the goodies...except it had the 2.0T with obviously a slushbox which made it feel slow. Of course it actually was a nice car....just no S4!

I hear you. The last time I was away from my daily life with my baby was 25k service. With the service and a couple of issues that I wanted the dealer to fix, I had to leave it at dealer for 8 days and drove an A4 instead. It's not a bad car but it's just nothing compare to S4. It's funny that I actually stepped up from A4 (B7) and I thought 2.0T was quite an engine but after my daily life with S4, that engine has no more thrill in performance nor acoustic. Not even to mention imitation leather seat v.s. silk nappa which the later is surely way better. I remember that I was so glad to have my car back.

Well, the bright side is that step up into the S8 is going to be a mighty big one!!!

These are the reasons for getting an S-Line A4 with APR Stage II and HFC. S-Line Seats rock!

Your S4 is more powerful, but I can stay close to a stock one, and get BETTER MPG's!
