I recently put on the new mesh grill. I'm somewhat disappointed in the quality of it though. Does anyone know if the OEM RS4 grill can be ordered and how much it costs?

Where did you get your grill?

That MassDrop group buy that was on a while ago. Came to about $220 shipped.

It looks fine when you stand back and look at it but it's basically ABS plastic and I'm somewhat worried about how well it'll hold up overtime. Also very light weight compared to the stock grille. Not that it's a bad thing if it was as rock solid as carbon fiber. On the plus side, no lame euro license place holder.

$220 shipped? Doesn't sound like that would be oem. Sure it's not a cheap knock off?

Its the same shit my dude. Both are ABS plastic, and both feel like shit.

nah would have to get the RS5 and modify it... I think that'd like a 900+ option though lol
I think at least 50 active members have the grill that you have, and have not complained about the quality other than paint being thin? so I'm a little confused

The quality is ok but it's pretty underwhelming when you hold the stock part in one hand and the new ABS plastic one in the other. Also I had to break a couple of tabs on the rings to get it in. Fit wasn't perfect. All in all it's fine, I'm just worried about how it'll hold up over the years.

For $200 you could replace it four times and still be cheaper and easier than the OEM option.

I too think it is made VERY CHEAP Feels like i can snap it in half compared to the OEM products. Not even worth 200 IMO.

Like okan said, there is no such thing as a B8 rs4 grille (considering there was never a B8 rs4 - only the B8.5 which has a completely different grille). So, if you want a mesh grille, what you have is your best option.
If you were really motivated, you could get the B8 rs5 grille and do the necessary modifications to make it fit. However, this involves creating new mounting points on your bumper and some body work at the top of the two vertical pieces that run up to the hood (iirc the rs5 grille pushes those down creating a gap) Dasquade went through this process and it definitely was not simple.

I agree on the very cheap feel, however the "snap in half" aspect seems a little off for me. In fact mine seems quite flexible.
Not that its a good thing, but when pushing the Audi rings onto the grill there was noticeable flexing of the grille inward, it surprised me, but assured me that it is at least less likely to *snap*.
