I ran RBF 600 and or 660 in the B5 and B7. Just curious if that's still the norm...

Heading to VIR next month and want/need to flush out the 2010 OEM fluid.

My B8 has the OEM stuff in it now. I will be replacing with RBF600 or NEO some time before track season in the spring.

SRF is considered the holy grail but isn't always practical for a street car due to price and the need to flush regularly.

Ferodo Forumla.

Endless fluid is considered a better fluid than SRF. SRF does not last as long as the wet point drops quickly. Endless keeps its values much longer. A lot of race teams have made the switch from SRF to Endless as well as club racers.

Cant go wrong with Ferodo Formula or AP PFR for moderate level fluids. For High level fluids Endless gets my vote and for a better than OEM fluid Motul 600

ATE Super blue racing fluid, bought in Germany. Worked well on the two laps around the ring, no brake fade felt.

StopTech recently introduced their own fluid line. We've been using it on customer cars and our own cars for a few months now both on street and on track with great results!

Both RBF600 and ATE super blue work great, I've had no issues. Super blue is a lot easier to spot when the old fluid has flushed out fully, for obvious reasons.

Either way you should change it every year at a minimum if using either (water uptake), plus bleed out a little from each caliper after every track day or two.

Not sure about ATE but RBF brake fluid interval change is 6 months from what I have been told and read.

That's correct, you should check your tire pressures every time you drive and your oil at every gas fill-up too....:-).

For sure both are hygroscopic, but my experience, really depends how much water uptake you have - if your reservoir seal is tight, you shouldn't really have an issue. Older cars, maybe more of an issue. Or if you've left the reservoir open for a long time on a summer day (not good!). Bleeding a little out after each track day helps a lot. I've had no problems up to a year, probably more even, but if I'm changing pads I usually go for it anyway.

ATE super Blue says 2-3 years on the tin.
