Anyone here ever deal with these guys? In Alhambra. Have an Appt with them tomorrow to do a bunch of stuff i swore i could do myself but time is of the essence. Here is what they are doing:

Coolant Temp Sensor
Cam Shaft Positioner
ABS sensor

quote was unbelievable and their Yelp reviews seem alright. Let me know if anyone has had any work done or a good shop in the pasadena area besides our friends at Independent audi.

Best,
P

I live right there in Alhambra but I only go to Euro Tech in Culver City.
Having someone who knows these cars as well as they do means more to me than price....and their prices are great anyways. No point paying an "unbelievable" price if they mess something up and waste more of your time and money. I don't know if they will do that or not but we are pretty lucky to have so many reputable and knowledgeable shops in SoCal so it's really not worth the risk to me....You can check them out and let us know what you think but I know the owner of Euro-Tech was considered the best in America by Audi themselves when he worked for them.

Mr Albert Mueller has to be one of the most honest hard working business owners out there ... My family takes all their BMW's & VW's to him. Great prices and good work. I drive by there just about every day on my commute. Let us know how it goes!

Slave Iv, I still have my Eurotech license plate holder on my car and proudly advertise for jose and the gang. Jose is one of the best and kindest people i have EVER met. I even started a thread on here back in 06 when i bought my car to say how much i loved him, his shop and his work ethic and practices. Bad news is i can't get out to the west side too often. Between my studio being here in Eagle Rock and the foo's studio (the 606) in Northridge i can NEVER get out there so i was hoping to find someone close and these guys give me the same feeling Jose gives me.... I have a feeling they do. we shall see.

Extreme Autowerks: I went in there this morning at 9 on the spot and Lou was ready to go. The guys made me feel like i was welcome to stick around and never asked me to leave and talked porsches and audis with me till my ride came and picked me up. Great people for sure and i can't wait to go back and pick my car up. Lou discussed a plan with me of how we (HE!!!!) was going to go about fixing things and seeing if it was a sign of something bigger instead of just ripping things out ordering the expensive parts and going from there... The way he talked about my car made me realize just how many of these cars they have worked on. Nothing shocking to them. Great folks so far.

The quote they gave me was so much lower (using only oem parts) than a couple other German only places in the area (pasadena, glendale burbank etc.) and the person that recommended it to me is a porsche club guy from san diego that said he has friends that only go to them and them only. Anyway, waiting to hear back so i can go pick her up and finally see a clear and clean dashboard... hopefully they killed the christmas tree!!! After my card is swiped and i drive it around i will post up for sure! Your quote in blue btw is on point btw.... wish more people understood the difference.

[up] Great to hear and I'm glad you found a good place close by. For me, Jose knows my cars better than anyone I've met, my cars have always been in perfect condition under his care and it costs less to maintain both my cars than it does to maintain one at most places, so for me...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
