APR Fastivus Event 9/1 and 9/2

Spoke with Greg at Eurocode and was told all VW makes (including Audis) were being invited to attend. Cool chance to drool over some R32s though.

The event on Sat is at a VW dealership. I'm sure they will gladly welcome anyone that is potential business :D, especially a few guys in their Audis. :thumbup:, but yeah, I see what you're saying...

Greg from Eurocode is an APR dealer and he told me that it was originally an R32 event but they have since opened it up to all VW brands.

By the way, don't forget, we have another GTG and cruise planned for 9/30 at Supercar Sunday Woodland Hills (last Sunday of September). there is a separate thread here for this.

Agreed. Great event! These R32 guys are making us audizine guys look bad! LOL the organizer of the R32 group said they started as just seven guys meeting on PCH. There had to be at least 100 R32s and Rs there. The free burgers where off an catering truck that read Pie and Burger and they were very good.

Eurocode had three amazing Audi B8s there and the APR display was quite impressive too.

By the way, APR was flashing allot of VWs at the event.

Which leads me to a point. If VW like their Audi division frowns upon mods, why were they co-sponsoring this event including having Executives from both VW of A and one guy who works on the Golf R project out of Germany who said during his address to the crowd, that he was impressed with all the mods owners were making to their cars?

Yeah, Pie and Burger is a spot in Pasadena on California. I've only been there once before (mainly because they use American cheese instead of the real stuff) but the burgers are really good. The patty they have is very close to Apple Pans and I wonder if that's where they got the inspiration from since they seem to be modeled under the same style. Anyways, it was pretty awesome for vw Pasadena to host this event, shut down operations and pay for all that food.

I was wondering the same about the mods. They even fixed one guy's car that is heavily modded and blew an oil line on the way there. Apr hooked him up with a beefy steel braided line and the service department at vw took care of it.

The get together was fun and the track day was awesome except all the volkswagons were slow as hell. I passed the whole group lapped them passed them again and almost lapped them again before the first session was over. I was driving so hard the tread ripped off my tires during the 2nd session and I slid off the track I got off and got back on and started passing cars again with no tires.

no one took my medication I was just running low and i had to replace my medication with speed. SOme of the guys were complaining that about my car and the APR race cars driving too fast during the download meatings after the sessions.[:D]
