a water/meth kit may give you a little boost.

change gear
brake boost

buy another car with less weight, dt loss and reduced/no lag.

Shouldn't you be using the medium stiffness spring (yellow?) at 20 psi?

You really need to swap that stock SMIC out, it is just going to heat soak like crazy and you will just end up losing plenty of power because of it.

^This

Not to mention that being rather unsafe for your engine.

+1 on stock IC.

The softest spring holds up to 37psi (maybe more, haven't tried), no need to change. The springs, I think are rated wrong, they shouldn't be rated for boost, but rather for how much vacuum you have. Like how tial rates their springs. Or maybe that's how their rated right now.

how the hell did you manage to make a FT lag? Who tries to race anyone off idle? you should have 20+lbs BY 2,800rpm

The little trick is the FMIC sitting in your garage... but it sounds like some driver mod is needed too.

thanks, wonder if there's a cheap ebay version.. but 28$ isn't bad. i was kinda scared to droop it in 2nd, i noticed if i go all out, it hesitates bucks at at 6k, i usually go to 7k. i still hear that odd screeching howling noise which i think is my v belt to the waterpump, some aftermarket brand and feels loose. i think it might slip and grip which cases my bucking? or me just running the stock IC setup. also to the dumbass who did my clutch i found out today the driver side tranny mount had no nut on it, so after fixing that car felt better. but i'm sure with 217k i need new mounts.

I just replaced all my of motor/tranny mounts and the difference it made was staggering and I only replaced them with OEM units. At 126k miles my mounts were trashed, I can't imagine what yours are like at 217K.

Replacing that intercooler is going to give you power without a doubt; the stocker is really a pos.

I also recall reading in a discussion about 2.0t coil packs that you can open up the gap on your plugs. Any confirmation or info to add to that?

yeah, i 'll open the gap up to at least .40

you probably want BKR7E-11 if you're running 2.0T coils.
