805 Shop Day?

So I'm the manager for a small automotive based shop in Newbury Park. I'm trying to see if there is any interest in have a shop day/install day where people could come and do some installs. I offered this on other forums as well in the past, seemed to work out nicely.

I have a full lift and just about any tool needed to work on our cars, also have a spring compressor.

Would just like to get myself out in the open to help and to learn. Maybe we could do a BBQ or something like that as well. I have a big screen and Dish network as well.[:D]

Let post up some ideas and maybe we can get something going in the next month or so. I'm open to most ideas.

It would be a drive but DEFINITELY!, i was contemplating changing out my brake pads and install springs on my own in my garage...

Once a few jobs free up and leave the shop I will know of a better time to do this.

I'm thinking on a weekend, either day could work. Maybe sometime toward the end of next month, that way we could figure out what someone needs installed and what might be needed to get the job completed.

Let's start a head count and what they want to have installed.

count me in. if it doesn't happen fairly soon i might have a stasis exhaust and a rear valance to install. if soon then maybe just some rs4/5 pedals.

either way i would love to stop by during this and check out the shop.

we can always make it so our SCS GTG cruise ends in Newbury as well. The frontage roads through calabsas and aguora are pretty nice to cruise.

hey sorry to bump this but i would love for this to happen! how hard is it to install a down pipe? thinking about buying one but dont want to pay for labor. so if i could install it on this day that would make a nice little project!

I'm not from the Valley, but I'd be interested in coming out. I have an APR RSC Exhaust I've been wanting to install. I'm still looking for a downpipe so I can do everything all at once. It would definitely make things a lot easier if I had a lift.

Sept 6-7 doesnt have to be the day, was only a suggestion. The weekend clearly works out for more people, as well as for me.

I'd like to try to get more interest in this, so I could get the whole day booked out and make it more of a local event/BBQ. Dont even need to have something to install, just come out and show some support for fellow members/owners.

Due to a recent injury, I might have to delay, but I figure that at this Sundays GTG in Woodland Hills it can be discussed a little more. I will try and keep you all up to date with what I know.
