View Full Version : Factory Audi Sport Exhaust?

I came across what looks to be a factory Audi or VW sport exhaust on craigslist for sale. It's listed as part number 8D0 071 902 UA and is supposed to fit B5 A4s with the 2.8. I haven't been able to turn up any videos of this, and the few web search results only turned up a few companies selling the exhaust. Does anyone have any information on this setup?

Thank you,

Steve

Apparently a very rare and/or unpopular piece.

IIRC, ECS had a sale on these a while back for FWD cars. Looked very nice, polished tips etc, but I don't remember anything about how they sounded.

Its an axle back too. Not a full exhaust.

There's one on eBay (8D0 071 902 UA) for $675 (rear section only).

$675! lol. These things were very, very cheap on closeout from Audi. I've got 2 of the things laying around. They won't work on a quattro car without heavy modification. But they could be used on another kind of car. They are very nice looking pieces.

My brother picked them up at the dealership and the parts guys and mechanics where all over him about how he got them so cheap. They had the boxes open and were inspecting them as soon as they arrived at the dealership. This has happened several times when I've ordered closeout parts at our local Audi dealer. One time a mechanic seriously pulled me off to the side and was like "Where are you getting these numbers?!". lol

Hmm you got a few laying around? For sale? And If I went to a dealership with the part number I could get one cheap or is that no longer an option? (FWD)

Are they for a 2.8 or a 1.8?

The ones that I have are for 2.8 FWD, but I can't see why you couldn't use them on a 1.8T FWD.

Here is what I have:

Compare to the 1.8T FWD version:

Looks the same to me, except the 1.8T version comes with more pipe on the front. Perhaps the pipe diameter is slightly different as well. I think the V6 cars exhaust was like 10mm bigger or something silly like that.

I got one while back when they were on clearance from ECS for my FWD 1.8t for less then $100. For the money I don't think you can find anything better. I have an old video of it that is pretty crappy I'll try and take a new one today if I get a chance. I did a resonator delete as well when I got it installed, it drones a little but not bad.
