SO i took a look under the hood since the "intake flap stuck closed" kind of worried me. Took apart the front plastic cover and rubber connector between the front plastic initake and air box and didn't notice anything. The filter in the scoop near the grill had some dirt...cleaned that and put back in. The only issue i found was the homelink box thingy was hanging from the front grill. I secured it back in place in the middle of the grill. Not sure what else to look at for the intake issue. Anyone have any ideas, i cleared the codes and started the car back up, check engine light didn't return.

you have a problem with intake flap diaphram; bring it to the dealer and they will run diag and replace it under warranty. I have seen this code few times and done the flap few time myself.

You won't be able to see it unless you know what you are looking for, you will need another person to do this you will have to rev it above 3500 rpm to see if intake flap moves. The problem is it will move when you rev the car but it might not stay open. Like I have said before bring it in and they will replace it.

Well i reset the check engine yesterday and drove to work this morning...nothing came back yet. Would this damage anything in the car if i continue to drive it. I want to bring it in but waiting for the light to come back on.

I doubt you'll harm anything by continuing to drive it at this point. However, if the CEL returns and with the same code, then a visit to the dealer is in order.

has anyone removed the screen filter on the intake scoop before the actual air filter? Looks like it restricts air flow to me...

First thing I did was remove the screen and part of the air box that blocks flow to the filter. Doubt the screen blocks airflow- probably disrupts it more than anything. I'm nowhere near being an engineer but think smooth airflow is better. No issues, not too many bugs in the box or stuck to the filter. Just check it every couple of weeks.

There are flaps that cause the air to tumble in a certain way during certain points in the accel curve and at different RPM's. These are actuated by vacuum lines, and if this car has had the thermostat replaced recently, it could cause a pinch in the lines, as you have to remove the supercharger to do this (or if for any other reason someone was mucking with the vaccum lines in the back of the SC unit). We had someone who had this fail when a line was pinched on reseating of his SC unit after a Tstat replacement.

Reference page 28 for details on the intake manifold flaps - it has zero to do with the air filter.

Either way, it's a warranty issue and they will take care of it for you, as it should be addressed. That it happened to both banks suggests either that the pump that actuates these is either going bad or one of the lines has a leak.
