Can you take a pic? I'm not sure what screw you are talking about.

It is to adjust the level of the fog light. Either focus them higher or lower.

I figured this as well - I'm surprised you can adjust the fogs..

I suspect the Bentley factory repair manual has a procedure for proper aiming.
I wouldn't mess with it unless you feel they're misaligned. There are laws about how the light has to be aimed.

if you adjust it, its best to do it up close to a garage door or other wall where its easy to see the light output without a lot of glare. for fogs i would get pretty close to the wall. for the headlights you would be quite a bit away, not that you can(or can you?) or want to adjust the audi headlights.

My problem is that I turned it not knowing what it did so I have no idea how to adjust to make both fog lights match doh

Next time you're at the dealer ask them to re-aim them.
