The car is an 1996 A4 1.8T Quattro, currently fitted with a K04, a large no-name fmic(supposedly same factory that make the racetec intercooler, an updated version with much larger core), 3" DP with 100 cell cat, 2.5" high flow exhaust. Software MTM stage 4(oem injectors).
I have decided on going for an E85 conversion for several reasons; its available at any gas station here and of good quality, better cooling of engine and turbo etc. Have bought most parts needed for the conversion, and I am in contact with a good tuner that can make the E85 mapping. I would like to have your comments on my upcoming setup, if should change something or not. Parts are:
-ATP Eliminator GT2560R turbo Nissan-style 2-bolt compressor housing with 2.5" intake flange and 2" exit flange
-ATP KKK flange manifold(I know these are prone to cracking but this one has been used for serveral years and has nog signs of any damage)
-Walbro 255LPH fuel pump in-tank(in oem basket)
-Siemens 630cc injectors
-TT 3" MAF housing
-034 motorsport 3" -> 2.5" intake hose
All that is left to buy is the clutch, and I was thinking I should keep the oem flywheel and resurface it togther with a Spec 2+ clutch kit. My aim is 300-320 engine hp since it has stock internals(although I hear a rumour that says that early AEBs have stronger connecting rods that would handle more).
So what do you think ? [:)]
