Hey guys,
*We are currently offering introductory pricing on the long tube header kits and full exhaust system including the cat-back! PM us for pricing*
A few months ago we introduce the header back system for the 3.0TFSI engine and teased the community about shortie and long tube headers that were developed for A7 3.0TFSI and potential fitments for the S4, S5 and A6 3.0TFSI. Many questions were asked about the potential fitment issues on the S4/S5 cramped engine bays and a few weeks ago SuperSprint finally received a S5 3.0T Sportback along with REVO's hand held tuning module.
This new 3.0 V6 engine design was developed to reduce fuel consumption, emissions, weight and overall dimensioning from the previous, naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 motor. It is fitted with a crankshaft powered supercharger, although its commercial denomination officially is 3.0 T. This is a radical design change for a company well known for its excellence with its advanced turbo charging technology. Regardless, this S/C engine has proved to offer a huge potential for performance gains, most notably via ECU and exhaust modifications.
From the acoustic point of view, this V6 is totally different from the V8. In particular, it shows a heavy resonance/droning sound in the low-to-mid rpm range. This may let down some Audi S enthusiasts, steering them away from any possible exhaust modification. Supersprint worked hard to improve in this area, developing an exhaust which guarantees a healthy, sport sound, but at the same time neutralizes the annoying frequencies in the most critical rpm range. Supersprint offers a sound worthy of the performance of the car, but without compromising the onboard comfort.
Supersprint has developed a high performance, full exhaust system for all of the Audi Quattro models with the last generation 3.0 V6 TFSI Supercharged engine. It includes a set of long-tube headers, R+L high-flow metallic cats or catless pipes,, a centre section and R+L rear mufflers, available with either quad-tips, or with dual, oval design tips. Each of these Supersprint individual model exhausts, including the headers, have been designed to fit both the LHD as well as the RHD version of each model.
Available configurations:
1. Long tube headers + catted or catless pipes
2. Cat-back
Resonated X pipe OR race X pipe + mufflers with 4x90mm tips OR 2x145x95mm tips OR 4x90x70mm tips
3. Axle-Back
Mufflers with 4x90mm tips OR 2x145x95mm tips OR 4x90x70mm tips
Available car fitments:

A6 3.0TFSI
About SuperSprint
Established in 1955, Supersprint® developes and handcrafts the best sport car performance exhausts in the business. The engineers at Supersprint realize that for maximum performance, exhaust development must begin at the exhaust ports of the cylinder head. This is why Supersprint has the largest variety of racing header systems in the world today. Each header incorporates CNC laser cut port matched flanges. Primary tubes are mandrel bent using the latest CNC tube bending equipment. With special tooling Supersprint has been able to keep weld joints to a minimum for added reliability.
The fully appointed R&D department uses the latest in prototyping equipment along with the reliability and accuracy of a MAHA "all wheel drive" chassis dyno. With over 50 years in performance exhaust development they have earned the confidence of many of Europe's most respected tuners. Most units are 100% stainless steel.

Long tube headers
The “Independent Primary Pipe” design allows for an easier installation process, given the constraint of the limited space available in the engine bay. Each progressive step is explained down to its smallest detail, in the mounting instruction book that comes with each headers package. The removal of the engine or the gearbox is not required. The same, multi-piece design, offers an even more important feature: the neutralization of any heat-induced tension among the single pipes, which could ultimately cause the failure of the thin wall, lightweight tubing, the most deadly enemy of any tubular headers.
The Supersprint headers, although made with conventional material such as the 304 stainless steel, is as tough as it gets offering an unlimited durability under any condition, from high-speed autobahn driving, to road touring, down to the most grueling, race track use. Supersprint hand builds each and every headers, individually. The finishing quality of the welds, the perfection of the fitment is second to none. SuperSprint even designs, develops and manufactures the special, proprietary sealing rings, in house.
The length and the diameter (cross section) of the pipes on these collectors, and their race inspired, merge section, complete the primary headers pipes to perfection. This full set-up is designed for the highest performance, with no compromise.

Power
On SuperSprint's MAHA dyno, the stock 3.0TFSI dyno'ed 348hp at - once the full catted system with long tube headers was added, the car was making 369.2 hp at 5755 RPM on the same dyno. Unfortunately, Revo's stage 1 map wasn't developed to handle the aggressive long tube headers and the car was limited to 427hp. The 02 sensors also had to be re-positioned as the ECU was not able to properly adjust. Once the 02 sensors were repositioned, this S5 3.0TFSI Sportback is now making an RS5 beating 447.1 at 6795 RPM, making peak power over 1,000 RPM higher than without the adjusted 02 sensors and tune. REVO decided not to pursue making a specific tune for these headers, there is still a lot of potential to extract even more power with a proper dyno tune, making any 3.0TFSI equipped S4, S5 or A7 an absolute street monster.
Stock vs SuperSprint Full Catted Exhaust (Stock Map)
As you can see the power gain starts at 3000 rpm but really gets interesting at 5000 rpm. Then just a bit after the stock map cuts the power as it cannot properly compensate for the long tube configuration.
