Hi all,
I have recently bought a Q5. It has all the spec I wanted except for the B&O system.
From threads I have read, retro fitting B&O is a big job. I was hoping to improve on the sound of the system in my car. The car has the Audi Sound System. This is a half way point between the standard system and the B&O system. I think it has 10 speakers, a better amp and a sub in the boot.
I have read various threads concerning A4 B8 upgrade and wonder if these cars are basically the same?
I was thinking of maybe changing the speakers and leaving the rest standard. If I do this am I likely to notice much of an improvement?
If so from things I have read it seems that changing out the dashboard left and right speakers, front door speakers and maybe the sub may be the best.
The speakers above presently consist of:
1. Main front door speakers - around 8 inches across and 4 ohms
2. Dash top speakers - around 2 inches across and 8 ohms
3. Sub (in boot) just under 6 inches across and 2 ohms. ( the sub level can be adjusted in the mmi)
I would very much welcome peoples thoughts and advice.
Many thanks Mark
